Got some headway with the rad arm mounts, and trans mount. Need to get some measurements where a few componets are located to get a better feel for the trans mount.
May have to go low tech when designing the coil buckets. Cardboard and sharpie. Once done in cardboard I can transfer it to CAD, and clean it up.

Re: Joel's Bronco II
Just picked up 2 bushings for the trans crossmember, and 4 for the cage.
By the sounds of it my hyd bump stops are on the truck for delivery.
Cage tube is waiting to be picked up.

Time to clean up the individual parts and key them. Then it's ready to be broken out and cut.

Very nice Joel. Having owned a bracket you designed and built, I know how well your truck built. Top notch man.

Re: Joel's Bronco II
Got a rough model in place for the shocks and bumps.
With the 5.5" deaver coil I should be able to get 21" travel, that is if I can keep the joints from binding.
At the spring it's about 6" uptravel and 8" droop. This is with the 14" travel fox shocks in front of coil and I still have 1" on the bump.

Re: Joel's Bronco II
So , are you moving the lower coil mount in on the beam, or moving the top out to meet the f150 coil mount, or have i missed it entirely.

Are the bushings polyurethane or delrin/acetal?
I'm sure they're probably poly but the pic makes um look like delrin.

Got it. I figured there wouldn't be a zerk on delrin, but maybe if it was the lower end, non impregnated stuff.

Originally they were not the ones I was after, but a buddy had 6 from a past project and wasn't planning to use them. Couple tweaks to my CAD model and they fit perfect.

Hey if the price is right go at it. I'm always using what I come across that helps keep my budget low.

The only downside is that everyone seems to have bits and parts that I'm looking for when I don't have the cash.

Joel's Bronco II
So I ordered my tube couple weeks back and had a buddy lined up to pick it up. My buddy called me saying he was at the shop but there was no one there and the compound was locked. Tried calling the machine shop and got no answer. So it will have to wait for another day. But what ticks me off was when I got a call from the shop the next day. I find out that the tube was left outside in the rain. So I got the shop to bring them in till I can line up a trailer again. Hope to get it this week sometime.
