You know, I failed to take pics when I picked them up. They're sitting down at Marks right now...in the back of my Bronco. I don't recall the width and I remember even asking the question when I was at Deaver! I do remember them saying they designed it so Bronco owners wouldn't have to run the F150 spring anymore. I also recall Mark saying they were able to take a little more of a load/weight. I would think they'd be really good for a prerunner with that extra "junk in your trunk".

I think Solo Motorsport is even offering it now as an option along side the F53 in their rear suspension kit.

They are 2.5 Tony. Its an f53 with one more leaf. should have the same ride height with more load carrying

Interesting, when the F53s need a rebuild, I will see if we can spec out the same as these!! Post up some pics Mark...

We discovered the spare tire carrier was not going to last, starting to crack on the side and tear up the gate. Sadly I haven't even put the 35" spare on it yet! So, options are to put the tire inside or find a better tire carrier. Well, I don't want to diminish space inside so another rear tire carrier it is! I contacted Protofab and they're working on a rear bumper with tire carrier for me, about 30 days out. It can handle up to a 37" tire.

So, took a trip to Mark's place yesterday to drop off a few supplies ($450 worth of Schaeffer products), talk about the build and take his Bronco out for a spin. It was really neat to see his current projects and experience the gofast suspension he creates. Cool stuff! Anyway, we talked and decided to nix the plan for Bilstein 5165's in the rear and replace with a Bilstein 9100 short body (2.65). We also added some minor axle trusses to the build with a little axle protection for rock crawling.

Lubricants we're using:

Motor Oil - Schaeffer Supreme 7000 Synthetic Plus 5W-30
ATF - Schaeffer #204S ALL TRANS Supreme Transmission Fluid
Power Steering Fluid - Schaeffer #204S ALL TRANS Supreme Transmission Fluid
Diff oil - Schaeffer #293 Supreme Gear Lube

Hah, good question! I predict around the end of January, depending on a few parts that Mark's waiting on. If it's ready before the Pismo trip, I may be there. I told Mark the drop dead date was prior to KOH... haha

Thanks! I'm headed out to Mark's this coming Saturday to survey the scene myself. Unfortunately no Pismo this year for me, but I do still plan to make KOH.

Mark's working on the shocks, don't believe we actually have them yet...

They are a 2.5 inch wide bronco spring.. a little more load carrying capasity then the f53. basicly its an f53 with 1 extra leaf..

Mark found a good spot to fix the new Rigid Dually switches (front/rear) installed next to elocker switch. Thanks to Chris @ Philofab for supplying rear light!
