Re: 1987 XLT "Bob's White One"
Ok I had done 4 turns, I will dial it in. Thanks for the info on the radius arm I was not sure that it needed a spacer behind the "3rd" bolt tab, but in doing that it would make alignment easier(less of a bind condition).
The Heim connection boxes were installed as per Autofab measurements of old mount rear side frame rivet to new mount front side frame bolt hole.

I seems that if you are still using bushings for the beam pivots not uniballs you should not push the beams forward. The bind condition would not do much positive for their life. Lookin good.

Re: 1987 XLT "Bob's White One"
Yes, Moss is right, the bushings will not last as long when you push everything forward. My crew cab used to get beam bushings every other oil change.
I normally push everything forward and cycle. Once I find the maximum point forward (when the axle hits the pivot) I move it back so create more clearance. Don't forget everything will be flexing around.
3/4-1" is about max you can pull off. Maybe less due to your additional material on the pivot.

Steering has been very sloppy, I was amazed how much play was in the old steering shaft. New Borgeson was fitted and removed for driveway rattlecan( yes Steve I used self-etching primer before paint).

Buckets mounted and playing with cycling to determine shock tab locations and then I will pull it apart and rattlecan the unpainted stuff and do a final assembly.

Re: 1987 XLT "Bob's White One"
Need to adapt the factory bumps on the bottom of the Spirit Racing coil buckets. More Pics....
Doing some maintenance stuff as well I pulled throttle body for a parts washer spa day cleaning. Upper intake will get the same treatment so I can replace valve cover gaskets and keep the 302 running for a while until I rebuild the 351 and E40D that I have waiting.

Re: 1987 XLT "Bob's White One"
Some update pics on the '87.
Got the shocks cycled and tabs tacked ready to tig. Gotta get a 60 degree or 90 degree adapter to clear the A/C evap so I can drop resi and mount low or rotate up and mount on cross bar.

Re: 1987 XLT "Bob's White One"
Now the Autofab parts are coming off and the "stock stuff" is going back on the '87. I got James' 1996 E/B Bronco and I will start a new thread on what I am going to do to that one. All I can say is that the MAF 5.8 roller motor runs alot better that the 1987 SD 302!

Re: 1987 XLT "Bob's White One"
The '87 won't stay completely stock, but will get a few low $$ mods and probably get inherited by my son(Since it was his grandmothers since new) when he graduates from college.
I scored these at the Swap meet for a crazy low price...So now I need some leveling coils and some shocks, Solo built these and they locate the upper 2.5" higher than stock in a double shear..cool for mild set-up the Bronco will get now, The 1996 stock beams and arms will be installed on the 1987.
