Who's going to TDS?

I will be camped at Ocotillo Wells but will be at TDS for sure on Saturday. I'm not entering the actual run, but will be in & around the Truckhaven area most of the day.

I join up with some Jeep buddies and do some sight seeing trails. There's mild to wild runs. Lots of food, raffle prizes and a fireworks show.

The raffle is worth about 30-50k worth of jeep junk on average. My friend bought 5$ worth of raffle tickets, won 7k worth of axels and sold them on the spot for 4500$. Not a bad pay off for watching jeeps cruise around. They have a bunch of different trail difficulty levels on pre marked runs. They also do poker runs for other prizes from what I understand.

I'll be heading out there -- will be my 12th year in a row. Will have 'The Juice' Bronco with me, and I'm caravaning out with Mr. Agustin Jimenez (or 'Gusto', as I call him) and his brand-new Solo longtravel kit under his '89 Bronco.

My plan is to roll around Ocotillo and Truckhaven during the daytime and then enjoy camp at night. Hope to see some of you guys out there!

I will be out there against my better judgement. I will have a black and white Ranger with me. I will be staying mostly on the Ocotillo side even though the jeep guys take over everywhere. Be prepared to get stuck behind a jeep convoy going 10 mph. Last year there was a traffic jam on fish creek.

Just got on the highway. If its raining at TDS like it is in Rancho Cucamonga, it's going be wet sloppy weekend. Should be fun.

We had a good time. Weather was perfect all day. Got a little windy towards the end of our day. Overall a good day with the family. Didn't run into anyone. Did see a few nice broncos out there. I didn't get any pics of the broncos.
