Looking awesome man! I love the look of those raw beams, but do yourself a favor and get them painted or powder coated before you bolt everything on. If you don't, let me know, because I am going to buy WD40 3M stock

Yea they look good but im not about to crawl under there all the time to scotch brite and wd them. They're mounted now for mock up, then gonna pull em and paint them.

I have the same (more or less) beams and radius arms. I left mine raw. I scotch bright & wd40 them about once every 2 months. It takes a whopping 15 minutes. My truck is a princess though.

Well its gonna see a lot of pismo sand since its close so yea its gonna get paint. Was thinking a dark silver hammer tone then tie in the bumpers with the same color.

Does anyone know the stock wheel base length from center of rear axle to center of front hub? Wasn't thinking when I tore her apart to mark my center point of the front end. Gonna push the beams forward a 1" but need a starting point.

fyi I did the same thing and ended up with my rad arm mounts about 1/8" away from the body mount.. got quite a bit of wheelbase extension out of that. Only other problem I ran into was the truss on the driver side beam contacting the engine cross member when cycling to bymp. This thing look awesome by the way!

So now that my front end is pretty much planned out and fab work has started. I've been thinking about the rear. Pretty sure Im going to go with a 9" and get a vss relocation kit. But springs, q80's or j40's from JBG. im going to go with a longer shackle with the hanger moved down and 16 shocks through the bed. Just not sure which spring pack would be best especially with the big price difference between packs.

So probably a stupid question but.... im setting up my shock mounts and cycling everything over and over again. Everything is clearing and cycling cleanly where I want my shocks. Except the 3rd member and axles are yet installed (just got my stubs axles back from a friend). Should I install all of this then set my shocks points accordingly?

Axels installed wont Change anything but full droop point. It's best to wait but you could just tack weld the mounts until its assembled I guess. Hard to say really, but I doubt up will change based on axel angle. Down will need to be strapped before axel bind point. And remember limit straps stretch 1 inch for every 12 inches in length on average. They also gain a stretch memory after a year and will stay an inch or so longer.

If the shackle hits the frame bracket that's as far down as the tube can possibly go. One thing I am going to do is articulate the axle as well when setting up the rear mounts position. That's more if a rockcrawler thing but if you can have a vertical and articulated placement that works-- that to me is best in my eyes. Having a friend help when cycling makes the process so much easier

so traded my 15x10 AR baja wheels to my buddy a few weeks ago for some nice stockers. looks way better in my opinion
