Flyinbronco's Birthday Bash/GFB huck fest-DETAILS IN POST #2

I'm in too, Just made overnight resi's for Friday the 9th and Saturday the 10th. The wife and I are going to tent it on the beach- are you staging up or staking off some space at a specific location or mile marker.

I can bring some posts and caution tape to spike out some space..........

Cool! So far we don't have a specific spot. Because it's going to be a busy weekend, the campsite needs to be marked and taped. I would go out and do it during lunch on Friday, but unless someone is going to stay there and watch the site that won't do any good.

Sooo, we need to know who will be there first on Friday (and will be staying at least until others arrive). I don't really care where camp is set up as long as it's not in danger of being washed out by high-tide.

We also need to start putting together a head and vehicle count so we can figure out how large an area to save.

My plan is to leave home around 9am on Friday morning and should arrive around noonish so I can stake out a spot and hold it. I can then call Steve and give him the location and hopefully he can post it up on the board.

My crew as of now will consist of my Super duty, trailer and Bronco. My buddy Bob's Excursion and our friend John's F-250 and 5th wheel trailer. 6 peeps in total but I'll get confirmation on my buddy Tom in the Baja F250 and the Autofab crew when I'm down for the 500 so the head count and will likely double.

Sounds good, Rick! If you guys have a truck with an open trailer hitch, come by the shop when you get into town and pick up my trailer so you can set it up as your headquarters for the weekend.

31 days to go! I don't know about you guys, but it's coming FAST for me!

We need to work on a head count for dinner on Saturday and figure out who's bringing what.

I'm cooking a huge pot of beans and vow to NOT burn them this year... maybe. I'm also making breakfast burritos Sunday morning (I need a head count for this, too).

I'll take a small propane grill and two six foot tables to serve food on. I'll also have my camper out there with a generator, very small microwave, stove and oven. If someone needs it for food prep you're welcome to use it.

Anyone have a source for firewood? Should we all bring some and pile it all together?

Side dishes
Deserts?
Drinks? Should we all bring our own?
Plates (not the thin stuff, we need these to actually hold a meal!)
Styrofoam cups for beans (easier than on the plate)
Paper towels
Forks and spoons

Right now its me and Amber and her son Scott. My buddies Bob and John and wives. Our neighbors Vickie and Dawn. Our friends Tom and Julie with the Baja250. Our friend Jason. John from Autofab said he's planning on it but we'll see. Don and Dave from Moss Brothers racing are in last I spoke with them. That brings the total so far to 15 and will likely grow by a few more as we get closer.

I'm thinking of bringing my Quad. It's street legal and plated in AZ, will I need a pass/permit for it? I assume flags are also mandatory on both my Bronco and Quad?

Flags are mandatory on anything on the dunes. If you stay near the water and go no further than the camp line you'll need a flag. In other words, yes, the Bronco and quad.

As long as the quad is currently registered you're good to go (as far as I know). Day passes or camping passes attach to the vehicle and covers everything attached to it (trailers, toys, etc.) and up to 8 people.
