I have a growing list of draws and I would like and overdrive pulley to get more oompf at idle like the one here http://www.ebay.com/itm/Ford-3G-Alterna ... 0839102760 Any one here done it yet?
This'd be on an econoline 130 amp 3g with a fresh cable to the battery as well.

I have an overdrive pulley (smaller diameter) to compinsate for my under drive pulleys. Check out ryans website rjminjection. On there he has a calculator to figure out what sized pulley to use that wont kill your alt. iirc you measure the crank pulley and type in max engine rpms. Then i figures out the max rpms of your alt and states what each alternator can handle before meltdown.

I'm running the $35 kit on my truck

the alternator stops charging right at idle, sometimes it stays charging, most of the time not.
This is with the stock 2g alternator, I plan on swapping to the 3g soon to see if it stays charging at idle.
