Good work Jose. I will be doing the peel and seal on mine soon. Only question now is if Lowes Peel n Seal is the same as Home Depot Peel n Seal cause my Home Depot doesn't carry it according to their website. I'm sure they're identical though.

Thanks Kel. I hope they are the same. I should have taken a pic of the package. I know it was 13 dollars a roll. And the roll was 6"x25'.

I would like to see if you notice a big difference in sound. I didn't really pay attention to before and after sound. So it would be nice to get another's opinion.

I have been doing tons of research on sound reduction and on thing i have found is that people use sound deadening material (peel&seal, dynomat etc.) to try and bring the noice level down but that is not its intended purpose. Its purpose it to stop resonation. Get rid of the tin can sound. It does little to block noise. To really get good sound reduction it a combo if deadener, insulator and barrier. So if you were to put a layer of foam then Mass load vinyl then you would have considerable drop in noise. It is expensive so I have not done it yet, like i said based on research.

Ok. So I have to retract my previous statements about the peel and seal.

It worked awesome!!! I actually put some miles on the bronco today. And freeway driving is dramatically better.

My issue now is that my muffler turns down towards the ground. I'm going to exit it out the side. That should help a lot also.

It seemed like it got cooler faster also. But. On my way home my a/c started getting weird. So I have to check it out. Seemed like my charge was low. The compressor was short cycling.

Now I have my brothers scout to work on also. Ugh.

You had me on the fence about the peel and seal with your first review. I've been doing a lot of reading and was seriously thinking about going with second skin but now I think it's safe to finally step up and buy the P&S. The scout looks nice btw.

Considering 90% of scouts are bondo and primer or faded old paint that thing looks great. Refreshing to see one restored and modernized.

I was a little pissed after driving up and down my block. But after today I noticed the difference.
I do have to warn you. After it being parked in the direct heat for a few hours. There was a faint smell. It wasn't bad and it kinda faded away after a bit. I haven't had a air freshener in the bronco for a while. I'm sure that will make it all better.

Only time will tell.

Rmc- no not really. It's kinda hard to explain. It definitely wasn't the "tar" smell. Just a faint dirty smell. Lol. Ive never had such a hard time explaining something. Haha.

So the bronco is out of my hands... I dropped it off this morning to get new front and rear gears, brakes and whatever else it might need...

Wow. Night and day difference. I should have done this a LONG time ago. I didn't realize how loose the gearing felt until now.
