Re: The Gun Thread
Rifle Gear only charged me $37.50 per lower I ordered from Palmetto State... call them and ask.
when I did before they said they were sick of everyone jacking the prices and were pretty down to earth.

Re: The Gun Thread
Is an instate california person to person transfer that high? And FYI that ffl transfer only goes for assult weapons, it's a standard transfer fee of 25$ for all rifles and shotguns. I haven't done it in a few years though unless fees have changed. Has anyone done an assult and non assult weapon transfer in the past month or so, have they changed the fees?D1cker1 wrote:If only I didn't have to pay the $75 ffl transfer

Purchasing from out of state FFL to FFL, you have to pay whatever fee the instate FFL is going to charge to accept it, Ca sales tax and your DROS fees. The $37.50ea was for 2 - ar15 lowers

Re: The Gun Thread
Back in January, before my health problems started, my best mate and decided to take a few days out and go pig hunting up in NSW (New South Wales). We booked thru an agency that liases with property owners to allow hunters to use their property and enjoy hunting without the hassles from the cops and wildlife people. We spent 4 days in searing heat (110 - 120 deg F) and shot several wild pigs, a few dozen "hoppers", some foxes and goannas. My #4 had just arrived Friday, so I had no time to check it and sight it, so I borrowed my Dad's "$15 special", a #1 Mk3 Lee enfield sporter with an old but servicable Leopold 1.5 - 5.5X scope. I had the chance to sight that in with Hyland AX 150gn BTSP's (Prvi Partisan to you guys), and we left in the wee hours of Monday morning. I'll leave this here, as I forgot to resize the pics, so I'll finish this and post pics later in the week. Sorry

Re: The Gun Thread
Some pics from the hunting trip:
Camp: My friend John with a nice pair of porkers we got within an hour of setting up camp: A nice twilight boar, he didnt want to go down without a good chase, but another 150 in the boiler room soom put paid to him: A hefty sow for John. She had 6 suckers with her, but John couldnt see them until he fired: I have some more pics, just need some time to resize them
