Hey Tony,

Not sure if you've checked out Gunbroker or not, but there are quite a few 500 Cruisers for under $400...

I was also thinking to buy a regular mossberg and add a pistol handle.

Would be cheaper if the pistol grip is the only feature you are after...but after adding the rails/breacher choke tube etc...it adds up to more than if you had gone with the Tactical to begin with...

I'm in a similar boat with my 870 Express...was handed down from my Dad, but it's the wood stock/bead sight/smooth barrel model... do I mod it or sell it and get a semi-auto tactical like the Escort?? ... decisions decisions

Well, Dick's Sporting Goods Online support and phone customer service were of no help, I called the Huntington Beach store, and the person that answered said that only the newer stores are full hunting/fishing stores and carry guns and ammo...so Ladera Ranch, Laguna Hills, Newport, Tustin all DO NOT....but Huntington Beach does....

That figures, leave it to my bro in law's beginners luck to find the only one in so cal. As I recall the one by me has no guns either. I had imagined they all started carrying them recently.

Glad you guys like it. It's still in the prototype stage though. Spinner on top worked awesome. I like it better than the tumblers on the ground. The arms for the clays need a little modification. If you tag one of the arms it breaks all the clays on that row. The arms just sit in an L bracket on the backside of the angle iron post. Gonna add some bolts and plasti dip it to hopefully cut down on vibration. After I get the kinks worked out I may sell them if the numbers work in my favor. I sell the tumblers now, unpainted for 20 bucks.
