Re: Tonys 93 bronco
Well, little bit of a long story but took the bronco in to get some prep done before heading down to NORRA next weekend. To my kind surprise, after chatting a but with jonny lightning about the issue of the header panel vibrating a but, we are all thinking the single bushing is the issue.
I had already actually thought that was the case. Wil (economig) had graciously offered to help me weld this up. Well to my surprise, JL took care of the issue for me while doing routine maintenance for me. Pics below!

Thanks! I'll report back when I'm back from NORRA. I anticipate a few washboards will put this to the test.

If it still vibrates too much let me know what od/id and shoulder width u need, I have a large plastics house as a customer, they allow me to take there bar remnants when ever I need machinable plastics. They have teal, grey, black, or florecent orange lol.

Looks good, Tony. Maybe tie the shock hoops into the cage some day?

Thanks Steve.SteveG wrote:Looks good, Tony. Maybe tie the shock hoops into the cage some day?
Che to the engine cage is on the horizon, but probably next year. This year focus is a few maintenance items and seats.
Would like to do steering pump, box, water pump and then either reupholster the seats or buy a set of some nice suspension seats.

Re: Tonys 93 bronco
It will be interesting to see how that holds up. One the one hand, the core support needs some more "support". On the other hand, you are tying it into a structure that is frame mounted with bushings that have less flex then the factory body mounts. This could cause a new set of problems. One thing I am sure of is you will be the first to know..........

Re: Tonys 93 bronco
Yup. I expect time will tell.
The core support is bolted to the frame on poly mounts as well, so it's poly all around. Not sure that will help much or not. Cage to engine cage is next and then dilly fabricated core support.

Re: Tonys 93 bronco
Well, very little off road at Norra this weekend, however the front core support looked 10x more stable, so I think I have solved my issue....... Now onto new things.
Thinking of pulling out my coils and replace with with slightly stiffer rating. Now with the cage, and the combination of the Detroit, when I let off the throttle on turns, I get a little more roll in the truck, thinking of going to a 500/550 instead of the 450/500.
Anyone need coils....????
