Anybody with the 96 style foldable mirrors interested in a 6" convex style miror (most offroad uses 5")that bolts to the factory door holes and inner door mount?

The OEM mirrors dont like joshua trees or crazy mexicans coming at you on your side of the street which happened to my last mirror that was given to me by TCM GLX while in Loreto.

They obvioulsy wont be power mirrors but it should eliminate breakage issues since they wont stick out so far and it will also be pushed forward a couple inches over stock for better visability.

Im going to make a set to test and if they hold up I will make a batch for sale. I know a half dozen guys have asked for some not on this forum...they wont be cheap as there is some sheetmetal to be bent and fixtured and tig welded but they will be nice.

Is there interest or are you guys happy with the stock mirrors? I really like the stock mirrors but ive gone through too many to keep putting them back on especially the chinese knock off ones that break even easier than OEM.

I've got brn new ones that broke the first time I shut the door hard lol How much are you thinking? $$ Any pictures?

The next mirrors that go on will not be OE style! Thanks though.

If the ones im putting together are awkward or not safe...I may take you up on it. Hoping to have a set together this week.

No pricing...but I would guess no less than $150 a pair.

I am interested, I lose the oem mirrors on nearly every trip to Baja . I am sue I have spent 3x the cost you suggest over the years replacing mirrors.

Will they still be fold-able, Kris? Curious also to see what you come up with - some guys transplant the later model mirrors onto our EB doors so there may be a potential market there as well.

Been swamped. The proto set is cut but needs to be formed and the fixture welded up to burn em up...I will post as soon as I have them installed.

oooh - a plate base vs. tube? Sounds cool. I don't have a bronco to use these on but love the simplicty and function of what you build so can't wait to see pics.

That's not a Ford...

I'm pretty sure Kritter is building a mirror that uses the two outer factory holes and one inner the sport mirrors use.

Unfortunately neither of my trucks have sport mirrors but I think I could adapt them easily anyway.
