I thought about that when i had mine done but ive had bad luck with driveshafts in the past. My muffler looked like a crunched can by the time i had the exhaust redone.

I had to pull my Magnaflow to clear the shocks and two link. I just ran a single pipe out of my back Cat(my 302 has two cats inline) and its actually pretty acceptable without a muffler and just the straight pipe plumbed for a side exit before the passenger spring hanger. My low buck fix....

Not shure if u guys read one of my posts regarding problems a guy was having getting his truck started when it was hot but, I would strongly recommend a turn of some kind after the cat, mine dumps just in front of the pass tire now. I had an issue where anytime my truck got hot it wouldn't run right after 45 mins on fwy,the exhaust gasses caused a fuel heating condition wich resulted in vapor lock. If u cut it just after the cat get the exhaust away from the fuel tank, mine was over 3 feet away n still heated the gas tank to the point of vapor lock. He's right tho it sounds like a single chamber flow master. Not unbearably loud n sounds bad ass in the higher rpms. Cheap cool sound.

You did the vacuum style 350 brake booster right? How big a difference did you see? Im gathering parts but eanted some more opinions as to how much of a difference it made.

Randy, not all may agree with me. But I saw a HUGE improvement in pedal pressure and braking.

I've heard a few conversations where guys were not impressed with the upgrade. But I was.

I figured that. Ill give it a shot and if im not impressed ive heard of a hydriboost system that works well too.

So I've been a little scatter brained lately. And I need to prioritize my projects or at least complete what is already started before I move on to the next one. Especially with a soon to be new driver in the house I have to start her project also.

So, first I have to finish my rear shock mount that has been sitting on my bench for about 2 months. Then install my rear mounts and shocks.

Then I have to decide wether I'm going to pay someone to do my pan gasket or do it myself. (Any suggestions for a good mechanic in or around the area)

I will probably be tinkering with my exhaust throughout the whole time.

And now I also have this to get ready as well

I am replacing the front single coil to a 16" spring and a 4" tender coil.
It's pretty clean inside and it runs great. Rear will get deavers and glass in the near future. But that's about it. She will drive this for a couple of years and she WILL LIKE IT! Haha oh and it needs a new radio.

I am the orginal owner of that truck !!! Very Cool !!! I got her straight from the dealer. I sold it to some young guy that was moving up north to college. I am glad to hear hear she is still running strong. Does it still have the nice sound system ?

HOLY CRAP!! That is a small world... Do I have some questions for you. Lol.

System has been cannibalized nothing left but a broken head unit and some rca's.

Interior is outstanding. Runs strong.

Ill pm you all the questions I have. Haha

Very Cool ! She was great truck for me. I upgraded / rebuilt the tranny. She didnt like towing a 5/1600 very well. I so i needed a dedicated two rig. It had deavers when I owned it.

Ok so I finally got off my butt and started finishing projects. Worked on the rear upper shock mounts. I haven't decided if I'm going to bolt it on or just weld it. Any opinions?

Next I'm going to start mocking up the exhaust a little bit.

Do a bolt in as it could be a pita to fix if its welded on. Also add a center tube or gussets to keep it from twisting.

Yea. I'm still undecided. But I'll put a check in the bolt in column. And yes it will get gussets.

I like welding, but I'm lazy. I vote for bolt on, as i usually curse myself when i have to cut off some thing I've welded on.

Bolt on for sure. All the bolt on stuff is the stuff that ends up working & you never seem to want to change for some reason. As soon as you think you like something enough to weld it on all that changes & you wish you hadn't.
