I was hoping to resurrect and get a little more information on the stops mentioned here. What are the collapsed dimensions of these, the S10, Pathfinder and Isuzu? For those of you running them, can you share your front/rear suspension and bump stop setup?

I would at least like to know where to start.

I finally gave up on the Pathfinder bumps after my last set broke apart in a few hundred miles. I decided it was cheaper to buy air bumps than to keep replacing the poly bumps. Was able to fit them under the bed by landing them on a pedestal off the back of the rear housing. Can get away with that because the housing is 1/4" 4130 tubing. Would never work on a production housing as the pedestal would tear a window into the housing.

Something to consider, BajaChris has more baja miles on his truck than most of us combined. I think for us casual users, the poly bumps will work fine.

I have just short of a decade on a set of the figure 8 Nissan bumps under the rear of my '84 yota Mini Chase/Expi truck. The truck gets flogged hard, but not for the durations that a real pre-run truck sees. However it is usually carrying more of a load than a pre-runner when it does get flogged. They show abuse (like the u-bolts rubbing slots in them), but they're still going strong.

I want to say about 1 3/4-2"

under a hard hit they can desenegrate so you could also plan for about 3/4" if you bash it hard.

I cut off the stock pathfinder mounting ears and trimmed them to fit the contour of the frame welded in a nelson stud using the stock hole with no issues.

I also cut a set of the Pathfinder ones up but I was guessing at more of a 2.5" or so compressed height (of the rubber) on them.

Using them like this for the rear of my crew

I cut all the tabs and bracing off of mine down to just a flat plate. Yes Mine are pathfinder bumps..

Mounting bumps off center is hard on the springs. Unless you have a 2 link.........

Ive got those but mine are red, been running them for 2 years now with no issue.

I have the same Chevy bumpstops on the front of my truck I made a short cup out of some scrap pipe and plate uses center bolt and the base plate is tear drop shaped and hits the front hole on the bucket. Truck is basically stock so I have felt them being used from time to time seem to absorb the.impact a lot better. I have a bunch of them at work in a box people rearely want them back when we install airbags. I put yellow superduty bumpstops in the rear the oval foam ones not the plastic kind. Got those from work too, they are about 3.25in long don't think I've touched them yet though my rear springs are burly
