Also, if you went stiffer on the springs, you may need to pull another bleed screw.

Thanks for the tip Brian. If I pulled a bleed screw, it would give me some unwanted feedback on rebound. I went from all in, to two out to one out and now I've got them all in again. In this case, I figured the loose flutter would soften the added spring rate.

If you mean his front shocks - then no, I'm pretty sure they are far different. What he has are the sway-a-way, internal bypass, 4" body coilovers. They are VERY early stay-a-ways, but with the internal bypass ports I think they're different. SteveG is the one that found most of the stuff for them and showed Brian where to get the stuff I believe, as I think the shocks were set up aside from proper coil rate when Brian got them from Steve who got them from me ;)

If you only knew.... They came off one buddies race truck, went to another buddy who sat on them for a bit, holding for a project, and then to me who did the same. And that is just my current knowledge of them. They could have made the rounds before that too! A lot of this stuff does though - it just makes circles through our little community.

Sway away told me several years ago they only made about 40 pairs of those IB shocks. That was in the 90s I think so they are a rare bird these days.

The new valving made a huge improvement on the high frequency bumps. It definitely took the edge off, but I opened the primary compression bypass 2 turns and the secondary 1 turn. Was very stiff when they were closed. I'm still a long way from satisfied with the initial feel, but need to get out and test in the rough before making another move. The springs feel very stiff. They're working great on big hits, but are extremely annoying on the street. I can feel a little kick in my neck over every little bump. I don't think I can control it with shocks under the bed. Hehe! Why Deaver felt the need to go so thick on the mains I don't quite understand. It's like driving an F350.

Forgot they were by-pass's, disregard the bleed screw comment and open the tubes up for lowspeed chatter....
