Right on! Is that ride height pic unloaded or trip ready? 2.5" or 3" wide leaf springs? How long of a shackle are you running? What's your up travel? Sorry for the twenty questions, I am just wondering.

1) Trip ready, but 1/4 tank
2) 2.5”
3) 6”
4) 10”

Front is sitting 1” or so low due to cage weight. Increased spring preload .5”, then incrwased resi psi from 150 to 200. Came up nicely. Rear should settle 1” after a good flogging around barstool.

I put .020's in compression and it's like riding a brick. The .015's weren't quite enough with the factory stack, but also not very compliant on washboard or low speed square edge type stuff. So in my little brain a quick bleed for the small high frequency bumps and a shorter stack with an additional rate control shim (not rate plate) for the big stuff makes sense. The new springs have a ton more rate, so it may take a few tries to get this. May even need a different piston.

Honestly, B, now you have a cage, bring those babies thru the floor and quit wasting time trying to tune them under the floor.

You'll get there much quicker and be happier with the result. Then again, I was sitting beside you at HP Ranch, and I think you were asleep when this came up during Bill Varnes' tech session

Haha! I wasn't sleeping. I was concentrating.

I made the decision to keep them under until I've only got one kid riding in the back. Just a couple more years.

Take the 20's off the top of the stack. Those will give you high speed pressure spikes like no other. 2 of them was to much in the race truck, went down to 1.

Also, if you went stiffer on the springs, you may need to pull another bleed screw.
