1986 bronco

Ok so now I have the bronco running well, I had to replace the fuel injectors and now its not flooding its self! So I am going to take the bronco to my fab guys house and we are going to prep and paint the beast. I am thinking of going all red with a black top, black rims and black bumpers. I will also keep the grill and headlight covers black as well. What do you think about that? The other thing I am going to do is pull all of my nice stock rear panels and replace them with aluminum ones. Has anyone done this? If so show me some pics please. And last but not laest I have decided to (sorry scott) extend the beams and axels 4'' over per side. I want the extra track width and more travel. I will also be adding the deavers, shackels and rear shocks in. I will post some pics has things start to happen. Let me know if there is anything I should stay away from.

Finished wet sanding the bronco! Here she is still have to do the top though!

Ya it is clean now, I hate to paint. I will paint the whole thing another color when I put some glass on the rear.

So I have some info for all of you guy's. When you are done tuning your motor dont just jump in and go with out your hood pins!!
Carnage pics

Its really not that bad and we can fix it fairly easy, but the wiper cowl will need replaced. At 50mph the hood acts like a sail!

Been there done that about 2 months ago. My bad luck though, it waisted my steel hood, cowl piece, and my windshield. New motor and I got to happy with the go fast pedal, and BAM!!!!! I feel you pain.

Ya it sux but the good news is that I am already considering replacing the crappy perrys glass with some nice new fiberwerx stuff. It will be a while though.

Your right it is all crappy! But at least the fiberwerx stuff looks cool. I am personally not a fan of the stock looking glass. That's why I bought the perrys stuff. But his molds are s@&$, and the glass is too thin. I had a better experience with fiberwerx stuff on my ranger.

You do know that the McNeils all use the same molds, right?

So my steering was a sloppy mess and the factory wheel bothered me. I went down to fodrall offroad and got a sweet quick release and adaptor and a wheel. Here it is installed. We did it last night, it is a lot better feel...

So after getting tired of screaming to talk to my passenger I decided to copy an Idea I saw on here and cover the bronco in the fake home depot dynamat roofing crap. I did the entire cab, cargo area, door panels, rear panels and tailgate. It made the bronco 10x quiter, also the carpet when I bought the bronco was torn and dirty and stained. So I decided to add new carpet and got some rubber bottomed marine carpet. We layed that on top and that made the bronco even more quite. Then we decided to remove the stock rear panels and build new one that cover the wheel wells and will give me a place to hide the battery and mount speakers securly. We are going to add lockable panels to then that will allow me to hide a tow rope and tools and spare parts with out taking up any other cargo room. Here are some mock up pics they are not done yet!
