Looks great, I do have a question tho, and I certainly know about budgets as I'm still swap meeting my way to collecting parts, but is there a reason you kept the factory gauges vs AutoMeter/Custom gauges?

Re: 94 Raptor killer
I love the swap meet! I got half the parts for mine at the 2010 leduc swap meet, most of them brand new. It was a huge pain fitting the cluster in the McNeil dash. I actually did it completely different the first time then cut it out and started over. I just got pissed when I was taking out the stock dash and just mashed it. The main reason I kept the cluster is for smog purposes. I also hate left over wiring after removing stock stuff. I plan on redoing the entire drivetrain down the road. When i do that i will gut the stock wiring and replace it. At that point I will do new guages. I am going to run a few additional gauges for now to supplement the stock stuff.robertcrav wrote:Looks great, I do have a question tho, and I certainly know about budgets as I'm still swap meeting my way to collecting parts, but is there a reason you kept the factory gauges vs AutoMeter/Custom gauges?

Re: 94 Raptor killer
Got some more paneling fitted to the rear. Jeff got another tube in there

once the other side is fit i will punch a hole through the paneling and finish weld all the panels.
Any one have any issues with the frame cracking with heavy abuse? Where do I need to look out for?

Re: 94 Raptor killer
Update-
So when I originally built my rear shock mounts I had the a +2" rear and was planing on running 1" wheel spacers till I could afford a FF rear and 37s (pipe dream). I ended up getting some 35 spine axles for stock width for a deal with 5/8 studs so when I had the ends realigned I just took the extra +2" so i am back to stock width. my shock mount may be alittle to wide. Thus making my bench to wide and my paneling to wide as well. My answer for the problem is 1" spacers and a little rubbing till I can afford a wider rear end. Any one run spacers w/ 5/8" studs?

I finished all the fab on the dash just need to clean it up and paint it. Toying with the idea to wrap it in black vinyl.

I had holes from my b pillar to the bedside so i patched them up.

Cut holes for access the cage for 360 welding

I started on the center console

Got my wheels back from machining.

Going to pick up my shifter tonight. And my buddy got his 70 El Camino 396 SS back from paint so putting that back together is gonna take away time form the bronco

Update-
Started the trans x-member. It will also include an X to connect the front spring hanger and radius arms. The tabs are temporary and will re done in 3/16" and span the frame top to bottom.

Re: 94 Raptor killer
Here is what I'm going for. (Excuse the crappieness of the drawing, though I have mastered the old paint shop I have just started messing with photo shop and I can find how to make a straight line.) The driver side tube form the xmember to the spring hanger is gonna be tricky cause the transfer case is in the way.

Re: 94 Raptor killer
Update-
To keep the wife happy I have split my spare time between a kitchen remodel and the BRonco
I still am pushing for driving it in November. Its down to 4 easy tubes left to do and the cage is done!!! Steering is in the works and so that leaves me with finishing the rear shock pannels and then the monotinus going through the whole truck double checking everything. Button up wiring and pluming and making it look pretty with a few spray cans.
I came up with a solution for my rear end issue .....

Should be here in a few weeks. 72" wms-wms
