Help!! I don't know what to do here. 4 weeks to Baja and this is a major repair. The entire firewall is cracked. Anyone got any ideas. Seriously don't know how to "patch" this up.

Yikes! That's a good one! I think you're just going to have to start cobbling on some sheet metal. Small pieces, one after the other, stitching the entire crack. That's my thought. Philo might have a better idea.

I think we need to start placing bets on who's body is going to fall off the frame first. Rick's or Brian's?

Just cut out bad piece if possible and patch in some new sheet metal. That's pretty impressive, It's time for a cage for sure.

That sucks. That must be mostly on the driver side.

16 ga sheet metal and tin snips. It will crack again unless you add a cage and cut down on the flex.

Yup, they all crack there eventually. Usually it's on the seam between the tunnel and the firewall. The Barge had separated enough to stick your hand through the opening. I fixed mine by taking it to the junk yard........... You might want to choose a different method.........

It's odd that ours are cracking in entirely different areas.
