hmm.. I think my motivation level just decreased..

Just had some sort of coolant hose split on me... without anything to wrap it with to get home..

Top it off and keep on truckin'!

I drove mine with a leaky water pump for a while. I'd top it off and drive 50-60 miles before it started warming up at which point I'd let it cool off and add about a half gallon of water. These trucks truly are amazing. By the way... I later found out that the heater core was leaking but it was never enough for me to notice.. I changed it and now my interior doesn't smell like old chinese food.

Rescue Tape is good stuff to keep around.

Won't fix a busted water pump but a good quick fix for hoses.

That looks like an easy fix if its the heater hose or throttle body hose. I had the freeze plug rust out on my Bronco on the passenger side head right behind the alternator. I had to remove all the brackets but once I moved everything it was easy to replace it. If it takes a while before it overheats you're probably safe and all you have to do is replace those hoses. If it's more sever than that.. it could be a freeze plug or a timing cover leak.

Are we all meeting at Toms again then crossing at Tecate? I'm thing it might be a lot shorter for me if I cross at Mexicali and take the crappy mountain road highway 2 and meet up with you guys.

Let me know if you decide to do this. I am coming from vegas and meeting the rest of my party in Yuma and going from there to Tom's but if you are going to go thorugh Mexacali the short way id tag along if your good with it.
