Re: RC Cars!
The beauty of the 10th scale stuff is that there is a crazy amount of aftermarket support. I would say do a 10th scale.[/quote]
Basically the only short course parts I would be using would be the front suspension and steering.

I would imagine the amount of bodies would be drastically less for an 1/8 truck...
what size wheels/tires do those things use?

True. Good point. Didn't think about bodies. If only somebody would make a good looking 92-96 bronco body.

Re: RC Cars!
Considering the only real mass coverage of the 92-96 bronco was O.J. I'd say it may take a bit.
I'm just here for the views. It helps me feel wanted.

Re: RC Cars!
Well, my bro convinced me that I want 4x4. Then he convinced me that I want an 1/8 scale. Then I convinced myself that I DON'T need another project right now but that I do need (haha) a toy. So I just ordered an SC8e. I'm super excited! Can't wait for it to get here. I don't plan on linking it anytime soon as I don't want any down time. From what I hear these trucks handle very good out of the box and are very stout. It even comes with a cage already. Got a smoking deal from Tower Hobbies that ends tonight so I had to take the plunge. I tried piecing a front end together since thats all I was gonna use but I quickly found out that was a bad idea. The total was up 450 when I gave up. And that was only shocks and like 90% of the front end! Part dealers make bank of these parts. When you buy a car as a whole your only paying like a 1/4 of the individual parts prices. Can't wait to tear up the tracks. Oh ya, since I bought this, now I have to buy my wife a XOOM Tablet.

Nice buy Kelly! You got to join Tony (TCMGLX), Brian (Yikes) and me for a outdoor bash session once you get your truck in. We usually meet out in Riverside on the weekends.

I have a wedding to go to around 4 but I'm in if we can do it in the morning. I'm a couple mins away from the indoor track. A guy that lives by me has a track behind his house that I've seen from the street but I needa make friends with him first before we can meet up there LOL.

Re: RC Cars!
The SC10 is great though they do not run out of the box. Most of the RTRs are the gas powered ones but there are those kits that are marked XB which means that they are "expert built" and simple batteries are the ones missing to let it run.
For most kits, you still have to assemble them and get the electronics to make them work so you might as well consider getting another kit if you want one that runs out of the box.

Re: RC Cars!
This thing is so cool! Took it out of the box. Looked it over. Put in batteries and away I went. The weed filled dirt by my house kinda sucked though. Hauls butt with a 3 cell battery and 2 4 cells are on the way.
