Quick Question since I'm doubting what I'll be able to afford in the near future, I've done really well getting some deals to start with...however, for someone like me who'll be using the truck for trail riding and every so often going moderately fast...I have no delusions about pre-running the Baja 1k...

King 10"x2.5" Piggy Backs in Camburg Buckets vs Stock dual shock buckets with Dual Bilstein 5165s? Will I notice a tremendous difference? Will I be able to jump 3' higher and get 25mpg because of the King/Camburg setup? <-- Kidding....I can do that because of my new GFB Stickers :-D

Robert, in effort to keeping simple, I'd say go dual 5100 (not even 5165) in the stock coil bucket. The slight bigger shock on a Camburg coil bucket will not necessarily allow for better performance, but for more length of time at that performance. The 5100s will start to fade after about 30-45 minutes of spirited per running, where the 2.5 King will probably not. If you are well aware that it's primariy going to be a trail truck, save yourself a boatload of money and go simple!!

x2 on the 5100's my 1987 does not have alot of travel, sits about 1.5" taller than stock and I have developed a bad habit of entering driveways and parking lot entrances when clear at 20-30mph because it is so much fun.........

was reading somewhere about using Ranger/Bronco II lower front spring retainers and it lowers the mounting point about an inch...this true? anyone done this?

I understand this gets rid of the sway bar mount, but I'd be taking that off anyways right?

with my Deaver Coils I was wondering if this would be a way to go?

I haven't installed the kings, deaver front springs or rear springs, or the camburg buckets....I still need beams, radius arms and rear shocks...then gears and 35s....

I'm stock suspended on 32's right now.

So quick update to the parts list....

Someone made me an offer on my Kings that I couldn't resist, and since I'm still gathering parts I let them go...

Front Deaver Springs were traded for ProComps

Just picked up some Solo Beams (thanks D1cker1)
