Brian I told Tony that since my Slash body is beat to hell I'm going to t-bone his nice fancy new baja bug body. If you can't beat em, crash into em, is my theory.

Tony, if that HPI was 2wd I'd be all over that. I'm scared of 4wd. Just more stuff for me to break.

My original Slash body was wrecked from all of the outdoor bashing so it was time to replace it. I purchased a Proline Floteck Raptor body.

First here is a few pics of the cage with the body off:

Tony helped me out and did all of the cutting of the body. I've tried it on my Mini T bodies and I down right suck at it so I was glad Tony did it.

I then laid down two coats of metallic blue, then two coats of indy silver and then black backing paint. I have to say I'm pretty happy how the body came out. I mean it's far from good but good from far and that's just fine with me. Can't wait to take it out and get it dirty.

Woohoo! After several months out of service, my new speed controller and motor are shipping from Castle Creations. I should be back in action by next week.

Blew up the 3.3 in the Slayer....Electric seems to be best. Nitro is fun but the constant $$ to keep it running is becoming a severe hit to the wallet. Nitro is $50.00 a gallon now.

Exact same thing I found out when I had RC's. The Nitro stuff was a blast.......when it was running (running good). It wasn't worth the hassle for me and I went back to electric too.

I just got the same thing I had except the current version of the motor. Castle Creations has a replacement plan for their parts... send your burnt stuff in and they'll replace it with new at a reduced rate. I wanted something bigger and badder but the Sidewinder ESC and 4600 motor served me very well for more than two years. Even with me running the hell out of them and constantly overheating them they lasted a long time.

EDIT: I just checked the tracking number... should be here on Friday!

Good to know, I just ordered a max mamba pro with a 4600 4 pole as well. Supposed to arrive today
