Mounted on the drivers side inner fender there is a silver box with about a 10 pin plug, it says motorcraft, anyone know what it is?

You can see how a couple wires pulled out, I can fix it, but it's going to be pretty tough

Ignition control module. Make sure its bolted to metal or you'll have gremlins!

If you need to splice the wires, make sure they are sealed with best-shrink tubing. Don't give corrosion a chance to get into the wires or connector.

with my elc. i use either a crimp and shrink or a solider and shrink. the best heat shrink has glue in it. if in dough use somthing sold a a boat shop will be weather tight

If it's running with wires missing, I'd be surprised. That's the TFI module for the ignition.

I have one of those in my '89 Bronco but Its not plugged in to anything since the fender came off a newer F150. I didn't bother removing it since it can serve as a spare for anyone else who might need one out in the dirt.

Carry a spare if you do any prerunning in BFE...one of few stupid parts that will leave you stranded pretty quick.

Yeah I wasnt sure if I had ripped the wires when i pulled off the fenders. I havent tried to start it since.

go to www.rjminjectiontech.com they carry all the pins, connector bodies, etc.. for Ford. If you don't get a good connection as Phoenix states, it will haunt you like a bad case of poison oak.

A couple of things, first:

If you've got a '95, you likely also have the wrong ignition control module installed in that heat sink. The one you have is a GRAY 'push start' type module. 94's to 96's most universally need a BLACK 'CCD type' module. Do NOT use ANY parts store's reference numbers to give you the correct part - you must refer to this thread for the only correct unit for your truck (Motorcraft - DY1077 (supercedes DY679, DY667, DY645)).

Are you sure an EEC-IV system will run without the TFI module? I thought the MSD box will run alongside the TFI but not without it.
