Try PAM spray for anti-splatter. Works the same & costs a bit less

As for the "express" job - I wish I could get it through my thick skull that I NEED to do that. I'm trying to get a few things done before kids & a house, but I am VERY rapidly running out of time... I may need to give up my "no MIG allowed" stance, which would actually involve me learning how to lay a decent looking MIG bead. The real reason it's not allowed on my trucks is I suck at it my my welds look like butt...
