Brian, where did you download the EFI book from? I'm going to buy the earlier edition and would rather have it on a PC.

That center console was built by my buddy Dan for his roomate Tyler.... I'm amaized how well it turned out. He spent about $1k on materials, switches, gauges, and shifter.

Ok, I have been following this thread on RDC, and I dig it. I think I will do one of these up to hold my GPS, and switches, etc etc. I can not fabricate or weld, but metal I can work for sure!! Add this to the list of things to do, I agree with you B!

Depending on your tastes these can also be build from MDF and covered with vinyl or carpet. Wood isn't really my style but it can be done fairly cheaply and easily.
The cup holders are cheap on eBay by the way. I bought 2 at a boat store LOOONG ago (for use on the ranger) and they are WAY cheaper and easier to find now.

Re: Brian's '96
Really? Never heard that before. How do they "charge" the MDF to creats the cling for the powder like they do with metal? Maybe it's a purely static cling thing???

We did some tables in a chilis prototype store 10 years ago and it still looks good.

Re: Brian's '96
Good to know - thanks.
This setup something your "typical" powder coating place wouldn't have or be able to do though. Maybe a larger outfit like Embee might but it seems your "neighborhood" powdercoater wouldn't.

I don't use Embeee either - I just threw the name out of a larger shop who might have the higher quality tools around. Based on the link you provided and IR oven is needed and I doubt most smaller shops have them.

Q: While running the scanner the other day I noticed the spark advance changed. At one time the advance at idle was 22dgr's and on another occasion it was 29dgr's. That makes no sense at this point and I have no idea what my cause the change.

Re: Brian's '96
I can't speak for the bronco, but on modern EFI systems, the computer changes the spark advance based on a lot of variables. I have an active scan gauge in my cobalt, and it can change between 22* -1* and 17* again in as many seconds. My cobalt is more touchy i am sure, i but i wouldn't doubt the Bronco's system is active as well to some extent.
I'm going on this all assuming the 96's are the OBDII year.

Re: Brian's '96
Advance changes based on:
TPS
Knock Sensor
Temp
MAP/MAF/IAT
RPM
O2
Athough the maps are stored in tables, it keeps advancing until it sees knock then retards. This is how it tests the fuel constantly.
