I sat and listened to it for about an hour looking for random stuff. I love it! I'll kick it on just to hear the weather. Thank you!

My local home depot uses the same freq as weatherman. Makes the race interesting here.

Re: HTO'S BRONCO BUILD
Thanks man! I got them from a local tire shop here in Wildomar. When the truck was in the shop they brought the tires to the shop (about 20 miles away) and loaded them up for me. Did amazing in baja too! They are Falken wild peak a/t's.

Re: HTO'S BRONCO BUILD
Ok so while in baja I had some issues. I was bogging out in the dirt really bad and it would stall. Tom even had to tow me. While on the road I could drive it if I kept it over 2000 rpms. If it dropped below it would bog out really bad. An accumulative thought was that the fuel pump was weak possibly causing vapor lock? I was going to replace the fuel pump and the fuel pressure regulator. I was looking at the motorcraft and the carter fuel pump. Is the Carter ok to go with? Oh and I didn't throw a single code.

If I recall, Carter makes the Motorcrafts or the other way around. Something like that. SteveG probably knows. I've had a Carter in mine for a few years now.

Re: HTO'S BRONCO BUILD
Cool! I thought so, I remember Carter being the Ford part on my 76 Ranchero. I don't need a sending unit as mine works perfect. That would probably be what I go with.

Re: HTO'S BRONCO BUILD
Hey Randy,
It was great to finally meet you and Carly... tell her she's a true Baja adverturer!
Before you change your fuel pump do a couple of things... check your fuel pressure at the rail and make sure the pump either meets the pressure test parameters (or not). It would be a shame to change the pump for no reason, they are pricey. The next thing, check your fuel line routing... make sure your fuel line is not too close to your header or exhaust system... it could be boiling your fuel when you're at low speeds... worth checking out.

Re: HTO'S BRONCO BUILD
Thank you Tom! I was going to check them both, and Rick told me about some wrap from summit racing that covers lines. Sure enough I found it. I'll check the fuel pressure tonight. And Tom it was great to finally meet you and Jules! (Sorry if I was off on the spelling). Shes more hooked than I am I think!

They have a couple types at summit, but this is the stuff that I've used and was talking about.

Oh shoot sorry Steve! Is it the same stuff that you can use for your spark plug wires? I also have some 1/8" aluminum sittin around would that also work as a shield?

Re: HTO'S BRONCO BUILD
Yes the stuff can work on spark plug wires or all sorts of other stuff. I get it at Mesa Hose since they are local, but the stuff can be had at Summit, etc.
Aluminum plate can also work as a heat shield but would be more work.
