Re: BajaHID.com Excursion August 2011
I have not recieved any type of response either. I submitted my request via HPR webiste on May 9 and left a voice mail message @ 530-830-2252 on Weds May 11. I believe this place is more of club than a business (which is cool) but it would be nice to get some kind of feedback. I have no problem camping or switching to Mikes if we can't get HPR locked in. I am looking forward to checking out HPR though.

Guys, i think we hit them at a bad time. Last week was the Norra race, and now the 500 is coming up. The HPR is way more than just a place to stay. Wide open is ran from there, and i'm sure they are busy with other teams. If after the 500, we still get no replies, then we'll worry.

Hey Guys,
I just talked with Todd and he said everything is on track and they should push emails out to everone that has submitted a reservation request in the next couple of days. He did have a question on why some of us were asking for one night and some for two... I clarified and he understood. Great guy! So, check your email in the next couple of days and you should see a response from HP Ranch soon!

Re: BajaHID.com Excursion August 2011
So I'm back after my little get away ( a couple pics below for fun) and it seems I had a lot of reading to do to catch up... Here's some feedback based on what I saw.
1) - still working on Karen - we will see.

Works for me. That could actually be fun. I just need to remember to pull my legs up when we land after jumping!philofab wrote:If we run out of seats I will be bringing the bumper dumper. I've added a seat belt for safety too!
I've got an extra radio and antenna I can bring if someone would need it.tcm glx wrote:No interest in the stickers?
Also, who is a bad ass for pictures and video, we need to make sure we are covered there. Also make sure everyone has or will have a race radio by the time of the trip!
Tom has agreed to help coordinate the GPS file. We already have the compadre trail and obviously the b500 course but he is going to compile the two together!
me too. Besides - nothing of mine runs so I have no where good to stick it - hahaNick wrote:No offense T, but i'm not a big sticker guy.

I know. It's an ok daily driver. I just hate the fact that a bunch of the plastic CRAP on it (door handles, etc) is falling apart. I miss when trucks were made of metal...

Those broke more often. A Toyota will go 300,000 miles without much issue. Very few 70s Fords were driven that much.ChaseTruck754 wrote:I know. It's an ok daily driver. The motors will go 300k. The rest of the truck - good luck!

I've had a 4 or 5 Toyotas that went well over 300K, including the rest of the truck.ChaseTruck754 wrote:The motors will go 300k. The rest of the truck - good luck!
The handles on Tacomas are a problem though. I replaced a set for a friend the other day.

How hard was that and did you have to take the lock cylinder out of the thing? I've been looking to do it but have been too lazy since it's "only my daily driver" and therefore NO fun to tinker with.

Easy, took 20m per side. The handles are $70 or so per side.
