I'm definately in. What do I need to do in order to save a spot? Can I do all that on line?
I'm just here for the views. It helps me feel wanted.

Sorry guys, just got back from the NORRA race late last night. Had a blast by the way... most unfortunate, our entry, Bob Howle, blew his engine about 30 miles into the race, so we spent the entire day getting in and out for the rescue... also found a stranded motorcyclist off the beaten track we had to rescue... another story! Never made it to BOLA... bummer!

A B S O L U T E L Y... Jules and I are in! Didn't mean to hold up the train. HP ranch sounds perfect and we'd love to stay there. Since it's the two of us, I've already put in our reservation request with HP ranch on Friday night (via their website)... so if that mucks up your reservation process Nick, let me know and I'll unscrew it...

Just to add on, I'd be more than happy to host the meeting place here in San Diego Friday before we depart (we are just a little off the beaten path for a TJ crossing, but perfect for crossing at Tecate, and we can blast down Mex 3 into Ensenada, vice heading down Mex 1 into Ensenada). Just an offer, I'm sure Tony has an idea already on where we'll meet, but I wanted to offer regardless. I'll have a refrigerator full of cold Pacifico's, enough parking to 10-12 Broncos, et al, tools, if needed, etc.

I'll also open up a meeting place post event for those needing a place to attend to details prior to heading home. Again, just an offer.

This is going to be a very nice trip and we are really looking forward to it.

That's awesome Tom, thanks so much for the offers on both accounts.

On a seperate noteN Jeremy's brother Matt called me last night and said he is in for the run, in his 2wd ranger (said just to make sure we bring some strap for hoim!! )

As for the run to ensenada, I'd like to go down on the toll road for scenic purposes however that does not mean we can not meet up at Toms spot to split, detail on that later!!

Man what an epic run this will be!!!

Buck,
You have enough time to get your Bronco rear end fixed... how about it! You're a veteran on this run!

Tom, Thanks for the kind offer of staging at your place! Philo and i, may take you up on that. He will be driving down to san diego, then hopping in with me, and will need a place to park his ride. Also, a friend of mine will be joining us, he's coming in from north carolina for this, and i'd like to give him as much of an experience as i can in a short trip.

For anyone that is interested, my small group will be headed to baja earlier on friday, and will be going to guadalupe, it's about 25 miles from ensenada. My family is from there, at one time it was a colony of russians that farmed in the valley, from 1905 until the early 50's when they were driven out. Lot's of history there, if anyone wants to join in, they are more than welcome.

As for the hp reservations, maybe it would be best to make individual reservations, i'll talk to Todd, and will report back on what he say's would be the best way to do this.

Hey Nick, that sounds great... no sweat on the parking deal. Philo, you're more than welcome to park your truck at my place if you'd like.

Awesome. I can also bring your axles.... I will most likely bring the Yellow Power Ranger unless something comes up.

Are you kidding? :o  :o  What the heck happened? Any further damage to the ring and/or pinion? Sounds like one of the adjusters backed out...

Great news that you're going to make it! 8-)

That's awesome Buck!!

Guys, I am not married to the idea of leaving Friday afternoon, any interest in leaving earlier like Nick mentioned?

EDIT:

Here is a thought. Leave Friday say 1130 am from Toms, and do the compadre trail toHP Ranch, hang out there, do dinner, and then sat wheel the same piece mentioned of the B500 course and then back up the compadre trail home that evening (those that want to stay an extra day are welcome to)

I'm down for whatever. Just gonna roll with the flow. Should we be making our own reservations at the HP Ranch? Just go on line? Is is there a secret number to call to get the GFB Promo discount rate? Just to confirm, we are only staying at the ranch on Friday night Aug. 12, correct?

Guys,
I'm totally up for that... the CTT is a great trek, both ways. It's totally worth the trip. Plus, it beats the TJ to Ensenada trip.
