Re: BajaF250
no bearing. will have to figure out what bearing to get on mon. I know you can buy bearings by size but not sure what to measure. Terry is going to pull off the other bearing tomorrow. Hopefully there are some numbers on those so we can just order up the correct bearings. The system is up and running though. Works well(except bearing of course). Looking forward the ease of spot free water. You are welcome to use it anytime.
Have a great trip to SF!

Re: BajaF250
I just so happened to score a Moroso billet transmission pan for my E40D a few months back, got a smok'in deal on it... I paid $50 for it... brand new, all the parts, including the "Moroso" stickers. Well, I spent a few hours draining the tranny, replacing the filter and then mounting the new pan. I then flushed the rest of the old tranny fluid and replaced it with new synthetic... Fresh fluid, fresh filter, fresh pan... nice.
Heading to BC tomorrow morning for the week... ahhh, relaxing... a little wheeling...

Great shots Tom. Looks like you had some fun living la vida del sol. I would have liked to see your face in the frame that shows your truck nosing down on the landing. Was that according to the basic flight plan or were you puckerd up?

Missed you down there... we had such an epic time. Great wheel'in... also had the opportunity to stop and smell the cactus, so-to-speak. Actually took some time to take some snaps...
The nose down didn't look nearly as bad inside the cab, it just lands so nice an soft didn't really notice much...

Yup, trying to "wear it out" south of the border... we enjoy it so much down there. We're heading down again for the week during the Mex 1000... will spend a couple of nights in BOLA and watch the racers come in and then take off the next morn. Should be a blast!

Tom,
You are making the APEMFB organization proud! Truck is looking awesome. By the way, any close up pics of your skid plate? I love the OEM bumper with the skid plate combo.

That just might be achievable... we plan on spending the day of the 4th (Mex 1000 tech/contingency) in Mexicali and then drive down to SF that evening. We'll spend the night in SF and then the am of the 5th, we'll head up to Borrego to watch the racers come through. We will then head down to BOLA that afternoon and spend the next two nights in BOLA... Not quite sure of the return routing and timing... But, the bottom line, we certainly should be able to meet up the evening of the 4th for some beers! That would be great!

I'm trying!!! Even if I'm not a true Bronco guy!!!! APEMFB forever!!!! Yahoo, the best never rest!
I don't have any good pictures of the front skid plate and bumper assembly... I'll see if I can take a few snaps for you when I get the opportunity. Below is the best I have right now...
(p.s. you'll notice that the skid plate frame is slightly tweeked (out by Plaster City when I was shock tuning)... I smacked it the day I put it on... still have to straighten it out... )

Re: BajaF250
I got a fantastic opportunity today! I was invited to help with suspension tuning on Kevin McGillivray's Trophy Truck. As it turned out, I was also the appointed duty sandbag for testing. So, I helped with the suspension tuning, spring and shocks... and then co-drove the TT on the test track. What a fantastic opportunity. It was especially cool seeing the amazing changes to the sustaining speeds with such, what appeared to be, small shock tuning changes. Great learning experience!!!! It's absolutely amazing what those trucks can do! I spent a lot of time over 100mph in which you'd expect to be doing 25mph... WOW! Simply amazing. (AND, this is not an April's fool joke!)
