I like that mount Tom. May have to relocate mine...someday. For now, it's all about bathroom remodels and transmissions.

Did that tranny have a bunch of miles on it? Or, was it a new install? I assume it's an E4OD?

I actually mounted two batteries, one on each side in front of the rear wheels and put a battery selector switch in the cab behind my seat (much easier to do on a truck than a Bronco

). It's turned out to be a very good method to mount dual batteries. Out of the way and very accessable. The only thing I'd like to add is a cable to a large-amp capacity plug somewhere on the truck to make jumper cables easier. I just haven't determined where I want to mount the plug, plus, that little project is at the absolute bottom of the priority list).

Very nice story and pictures. Well done truck. Bet it stays together, which is all that really matters. Ask the Moss boys. They average pre-run speeds but almost never fail.
