Nothing in stone just trying to get some rigs along.

Start at 35 and truck around to percebu for some consuela bowls and continue on or go north on hwy.

Or start at morelia and go around to percebu.

I believe percebu was about 175 last year.

I really dont care I just want to go out and have some fun.

This is getting good!!! I will likely be heading down Thursday morning, or maybe Thursday afternoon.

Tom, a caravan would be in order if Thursday afternoon.

I'll absolutely give it a try... I do have to work on Th, so I'm not sure when I'll get out... I should be able to give you a much better idea as we get closer. Cool... can't wait!

Heads up for weather
Saturday late - prediction is for heavy rain. Check the reports and decide on your own.
For sure being in the canyons during the flood would be bad . The east valley washes were very soft & mud in places last year after the flood. Things improve after a few days, but the sand washes away leading to rock crawling in Matomi & Huatamote. Chanate has not seen floods recently. Use your sat phone for help. Cel or radio wont work in canyons. Radio might work on Weatherman freq in the valley washes? Carry stuff to wait it out if you get stuck. Could take a day or two before the prerunners show up in your stuck place.
Pauls Tip: Don't let your rear diff touch the big rocks because the U-Joint is exposed.

All,

I like the idea of meeting at Morelia junction, say Friday noonish (or after), and going from there... north or south, I'm open for either. Then, we can head into town for some post prerun cerveza and tacos de camarones y pescado on the malecón...

This way, we can take care of race business on Friday morning and then head out for a run...

We should also coordinate a frequency so we can all chat on the prerun... a freq that most likely won't be hammered... we can use the Autofab #1 154.630, Autofab #2 154.680, BITD 151.490, CODE 158.550, 150.845, 150.830

If I have this right, we tentatively will have Tony, Kris, Dave and the odd man out, me. Any more interested?

I might suggest that prior to Wed (3/9) we confirm who plans to go so we know who to expect so we don't leave anyone behind.

Vic and Chris are also heading down! I like the idea of using Autofabs frequency. As for a run, mid or early afternoon would be great.

GREAT... this might just work!

Ok, we'll use the Autofab 1 [154.630] as primary and Autofab 2 [154.680] as backup.

The list thus far:

Tony
Kris
Dave
Vic
Chris
Dustin
and the odd man out, me (errr, or is it just the odd man)

Great fun. Cannot join I will be on the Malecon all day. Flag me if you see a old fart with a Denver Bronco hat.
Don't drive the track backward.
Suggested route: Take the southbound track from M Jct (RM ~91) then at Rm ~113.5 cut east up the big wash (aim for VCP 16) to the north track and do Chanate back to town. You should have lots of company. That is one of my favorite runs.
