Just haven't got them yet. Spoke with Ron a couple of times, but got busy, then ran out of cash thanks to....life, so now I've just got to get back in touch with him. I think I can use their sliders too, which will be nice, because they'll be expensive to make otherwise.philofab wrote:What ever happened with the tender and slider?

Got the proportioning valve permanently mounted today and got a start on the brake lines. Broke the double flare button, so only managed to get the rear done.

Finished one of the limit strap mounts today. The first one didn't turn out so well, so this was the second attempt and I have to say I'm quite pleased. Now to repeat. Haha!

Re: Brian's '96
I bought hydraulic hose about 3mths ago and just today realized Fluidtech sold me the wrong size, despite the very pointed conversation I had with them. So, I had to make another trip to Fontana to pick up the right stuff. The good news is, they swapped with me free of charge and I found a company that sells Viton o-rings. Woohoooo! Headed back to Fontana now to pick some up. Jazzed!
Well, this is the best layout I could come up with. There just wasn't any cost effective way to get shorter hoses on these beasts.

You probably have more oil in those hoses, than most of us have in our resi's.

Re: Brian's '96
Wow! This stuff is killin' me! $60 for o-rings. The company was very helpful and knowledgeable. They pulled up info from kits they make for Damon Jefferies to help with the shaft seals, because they didn't have a direct Viton replacement. $17 each for the seal and had to buy a spacer to make it fit. Yeow! Anyway, gotta be a husband for the rest of the night, so today's goal has gone to the dogs. Will get these things built tomorrow.

Re: Brian's '96
Yikes did you make the 2 into 1 adapter for your air intake setup? thanks

Re: Brian's '96
One of the fittings had a taper offset to the ID. Didn't realize it until it was too late. Felt a bit mushy when I was tightening it and when I pulled it off, the ring around the 90 was a sure indicator that something was wrong. Back to Fontana it is. Ahhhhhh! Mayyyyyybe these things will get built today. Haha!

Re: Brian's '96
Done! Only took me 2 days to put these things together! Haha!
Decided to take a chance with the Viton seals. There wasn't a direct replacement available, so they hooked me up with a narrow version and a high temp spacer. Should work out ok, however the spacer is only good for 275.

All buttoned up!

Heavy suckers too. They'll be over 80 with tenders and dividers.
