Brian, are you course marking Baja Sur with Todd Sanderson? Are you riding in Noah's truck in Loreto? Or driving it? If not, whos driving?

I'm marking Baja Sur with Tony Tellier in my yellow bronco then taking my 4-seater down to Loreto for the week of the race and getting into the 1 car with Stuart Chase. Gonna be good times in Baja Sur.

We should hook up down there. What are you prerunning in? Any other Go Fast Bronco folks in Loreto for the 1000?

Yeah, I'm going with Todd. Were leaving his Bronco down there after marking and flying back down on the 12th to pre-run. Were probably staying in Constitution and doing loops. Todd is driving the Loretto to La Paz section and I will be the crash test dummy.

Well, that is the plan as of now....... What actually happens, We'll see.

I've heard rumor that there is no good way to head towards cabo from san felipe without getting on the course or heading back north first?

I am sure someone with more experiance or prerunning time can chime in?

Nope, the only way directly south is on the race course. The fastest way other than the would be to head back to VT and take the vineyard road over to San Vincente. SF crews usually head home after there vehicle goes by. Well, a little partying in SF, then head home........

I am leaving wednesday for prerunning. Thursday ojos to bay of LA. Friday charter fishing. Saturday san felipe. Sunday home.

My Plane ride home leaves from Cabo so I HAVE to go south! Ha!

Last report I got on the vineyard road was it was really bad. Anyone going down that way that can check it out and let me know would help out our logistics alot!

I drove the crossover road during the 500 in June and it was in OK shape, a regular 2wd pickup would have no issues but I would not try to take large rig or a trailer.

Yup! Buy now some of the bigger washouts may have been fixed. JHopefully someone has done something about the boulder field.......

I towed out two locals day before the 500 on the cross over in a chevy ext cab 2wd. The first waterhole swallowed the stock tires and the frame was on solid ground. Also the rock section could give a stock 2wd hell if they like the lower panels of their vehicles. I would guess that section has been cleaned up since then and it isnt a boulder hopping chicane anymore.

Ashcrafts pulled their flat TT trailer with an HD and it was a dumb move. there are pictures somewhere to prove it.

I'm gonna be heading down to prerun from San Felipe to Constitucion on the 10th. Anybody gonna be doing any of these sections around that time? Gonna be getting the new truck in the dirt for the first time and looking for some groups to tag along with. Would be stoked on some TTB company.

Seems like a lot of guys will be in San Felipe for the race. Any interest in a GFB meet the wed before the race.

I know Andy(silverslk), and Tom(bajaf250) have also made mentioned they will be in SF for the race.

Remember that contingency will be on Wednesday in Ensenada and a lot of people will be there, at least in the morning.

Yeah, I figured many folks would do contingency. I'm skipping it this year, ever since Sal started allowing early tech ( a day prior to contingency) it just isn't the same. All the big boys end up getting checked early and so you never really get to see the TT's come through.

So anyways, a wednesday evening GTG would be cool. Just a thought

Great idea... I'm almost sure we can make that... but give me a few days to ensure we can actually make it...
