Look at what’s finally home 3 years after starting. Looking spiffy with the new paint, aluminum rack and all washed up. Spent the day tidying up a few things, but she is pretty much done.
Replaced the broken OEM reflector with an aluminum sheet and reflective tape. Should hold up to the abuse better.
New stereo sounds good with JL speakers
This is how we ended up supporting the shell/rack.
Anyone have any recommendations on insurance for something like this. Before I just had liability, but I’d like to get a policy with a declared value now that I have some money tied up in this thing. I tried Hagerty and the declined me because it was too modified.
Most carries will do an "agreed value" policy. It will cost more of course but you typically have an independent appraiser come out and give an estimate and then possibly also show recent sale prices for similar vehicles. A little harder to do that last part with stuff like this, but a decent company should at least work with you to figure it out.
Old girl got some new rubber. KM3’s for primary’s and two takeoff KM2’s from the race truck for the spares. Hopefully they don’t rub too much. They were a tad taller than the Wildpeaks. No way in hell I’m spooning on another set of 6 tires. Them beadlocks are work!
