Link mounts, links, and axle stuff. Excuse the welding on the link mount in the last picture. I got a new Lincoln 256 and I was learning the settings. She should hold though!

Yep. Lol. They were lead spring pads, now that it’s linked they’re for bumps.BDKW1 wrote:Are those leaf spring pads or bumpstop pads? I might be a bit behind........
I have a bit more welding on the axle, but I spent a ton of time cleaning it so wanted to get a coat of steel it on before it rusted again.

Got the links under the truck. Now it’s on to shock mounts so I can get it back on the ground!

Hi All -
Now that this thing is linked - I’m throwing up the trade offer again. Lol
Looking to get into something done and less built I can enjoy with my family. Would like another bronco, but am also open to 4WD vans, or other cool street legal trail rigs.
Anyone following the build knows what it’s got and what it need to be done, but call or text for more details.
I moved to AZ. to make things easier for everyone.
Thanks!

Re: Nothing special class3 pics
Ok - I ended up not selling or trading it so rather than make more forward progress I cut the roof off and started making it a 3 seater. Lol
Slowly working on it again!

Good for you! Keep the dream "alive" lol.
My crew cab was supposed to be sold 3, probably even over 4 years ago. I'm dragging my feet because it's like selling off a child...

Re: Nothing special class3 pics
Have you done anything to it lately? It seems like fixing a few of the things I really didn’t like set me back about a month but have changed how I feel about the truck. LolChaseTruck754 wrote:Good for you! Keep the dream "alive" lol.

Re: Nothing special class3 pics
Hopefully you are in love with yours still and want to see it through.
I am, but I've gotta face the music on mine. I haven't touched mine in 3+ years maybe... I got to the point where I had very limited time to work and I got out of the habit of trying to squeeze it in. With my wife really wanting it sold for a while since "I'll never finish it" and it is taking up our entire side yard and a chunk of storage in our garage, I have a hard time working on it without feeling guilty I guess. But I can't bring myself to actually sell it. Every time I look at it I see how good/cool it looks and what an awesome truck it could be, and also how much I have into it time and parts wise I just freeze up. It's just hard. I really don't have the time to finish it (although it is realistically close to being drivable) so I'm in this bad cycle of it just sitting. I have a standing offer on it, although lower than I want, and I have had gotten to where I can accept it leaving when I've had serious interest (one being my uncle which made me happy to keep it in the family), but then it didn't sell and I don't advertise it again really. I just wise I had infinite time, money and a massive workshop/storage area. It is not the case by any means though...

Nice! I've been trying to get cage design ideas for my bronco, that makes it really easy to see your design! I'm trying to make a 4600/family trail rig. will probably end up "worst of both worlds" lol

I’m not dead - but still not productive either. Lol. The trans and T case are now totally rebuilt, and I’m a little further along on the paneling. Got a lot of cleaning and painting done on the underside, and my temporary brake lines are now replaced with SS. Got some sway bar arms too. Last notable accomplishment was a class 10 3rd at KOH.

Re: Nothing special class3 pics
Paneling is all in and the cab is patched back up. I still need to finish weld, and won’t be able to do the last row until I figure out a tailgate situation.

Back in the forum to try and post more updates! Finished paneling and primed everything before laying down a coat of primer and base “Ford Saddle Tan” then color matched Raptor liner.
