Labor and materials including a new muffler that is ballpark. I spent 6 hours building my y-pipe and exhaust. It exits before the font tire. Your looking at about $75-145 for a muffler and about $90 for each ODB1 cat. 2.5" tubing is $4.50 a foot at our shop. Hangars are $6.00 each.

Retail on my exhaust if it was legal to sell would be about $729 plus tax.

I'm thinking of just replacing my cats, one is cracked and I rewelded it but its no bueno. I'm thinking I can save the tubing. May be worth it.

Shoot, I just talked with the lady and she told me to go ahead and have the whole exhaust done. Otherwise I'd take it in a second. Thank you though!

No problem. New parts are more fun than old, used parts anyways. They just cost a little more...

Yeah well I can't pass it up. The lady bought me the full set of hid's corners and clearance lights and a new exhaust system since it runs and looks good.

I've got a dumb question... I figured out that the oring on the #8 cylinder injector had sqeezed out due to the fact I have a missing bolt on the fuel rail. Can anyone give me the specs of that bolt? I forgot to pull the bolt back out once I fixed it and the truck is across the freeway. Thanks.

Off the top of my head the 4 bolts for the for fuel rail are a 1/4-20 x 1/2" or 3/4". I'd go with the 1/2" and be done with it.

Yeah its kind of funny. Theres a smog tube that runs to the exhaust and I needed it welded and my dads welder said dont bother everytime you try to weld it, it leaves holes not matter what amperage. I get it done at 430.

I like where you put the exhaust tip. Be ready to make a little stainless trim piece though. After driving it a while the heat will most likely damage the paint.

Thanks Philo. The exhaust guy put some rubber piece around the lip of the body panel and the hole is a 4" for a 3" tip but I want to anyway. It'll look clean. Its in the windows of little cars, I like it. Great sound, you can roll down the rear window without getting a ton of exhaust fumes, it unbolts so it can drop out if I ever need it to, and its loud when I'm on it and quiet when I'm cruising. I'm very satisfied.

Also, something they did for me that was pretty cool, the smog tube that runs to the exhaust, isn't welded on it has a nut that when I go to remove the exhaust (if need be) itll unscrew from the exhaust and I don't have to reweld it or anything. They did a really nice job. Z performance in Riverside did the work. Also they made a hanger to keep the fenderwell from hitting the exhaust which is nice, no burns through my fender wells in the rear.

Another small update. Pulled the Bronco into the driveway and noticed the battery post leaking. Went out and got myself a red top optima. Small battery compared to my old one but man does it crank out some juice.

I have good luck with Optimas as long as I don't let the vehicle sit. If it sits for longer than two weeks it needs to have a battery tender.
