One of these times we will get together for a camping trip. I'm glad you like the candles. It was good finally meeting you, and we are attempting to make a hop scented candle right now but I can let you know when our stock is back up in our other scents.

Next I'm planning on doing a super short trip from the back side of Julian at the bottom of banner grade there is a old mine road called mason valley truck trail/oroflame canyon. It's only about 11 miles long. I plan on taking it from where it starts off of banner grade (highway 78) to where it ends just off of s2 in the desert. I then plan on taking a short piece of s2 over to Blair valley to camp for the night. With all of the rain it's really green out there and i really wanna see it. They are calling it the boom bloom!

Yes it is really green !! Coming up into Julian it looked like a totally different place. So that trip is downhill lol, what are your dates for this ?

I can't wait. Un sure right now. Nothing is planned. I have to fix the rear passenger wheel cylinder and throw on a new drive shaft. Then I should be good to go. Need to re mount the front fenders also. The stock mounts broke. Andddd trans and oil pan are leaking lol.

I grew up in Julian and have been down that trail many times. Its pretty cool. We would hit that trail, then take it down to Pinon which dumps you out in Ocotillo Wells (Fish Creek area). Theres some good exploring in the Oroflame area too. Creeks should be flowing with all this rain.

Awesome! If the squeeze wasn't there I would go that route but there's no way I would fit. But I've gone from s2 down Diablo drop off into fish creek before. How bad is the water crossing or creek you think?

The creeks down in Oroflame are probably flowing pretty good I'd guess. I hear you on the squeeze. I'm not sure any full size rig could make it through without scrapping. I wouldn't chance it.

Gotta get the bronco up and going again to see it!
We couldn't wait for the bronco to be ready so we took my girlfriends truck we call "baby truck" for a quick one night trip.

Greg and Desolate seem like a good crew. Glad you guys had a good time.....no trip is complete without some wrenching along the way.
Maybe we can get our act back together and tag along on the next one.
This many Broncos actually in the dirt is cool.
