Oh dang Brian, I forgot all about that. I remember you saying it but I still figured you were plugging away in north county for some reason. Good luck on the home purchase quite the spread compared to SoCal living standards.

Eric the house is looking great man glad to see the progress. Of course I still say you should have convinced the wife on that 10 car garage with attached studio for living quarters

but in all seriousness is looking great.

For both you you guys, it must be nice being able to have 4 seasons as well as space to stretch your arms out without reaching into the neighbors yard.

But yeah, not being able to reach out and touch your neighbors house is nice. A house with this much property where is was living in SoCal would have been several million. With or without the house.

Long night with the Baja 500 coming up. I had to get a Race radio wired for an intercom on a 1/2 1600 car and another radio for prerunning this weekend. Delivered the radio's and time for a short break. I have a pit radio to finish up. Never boring before any Baja race.

Whats new
My 96 is getting new rod end on the radius arms and a new uniball on the passenger beam. Years of beating on the parts and they now showed some looseness. This was after 8+ years of heavy use on Baja roads. Also had to have the Passenger beam clearanced again due to an other enormous hit. New solenoids/Relays in the portable wince caused by lack of use in the San Felipe climate. Discovered why the winch would not work at the rear plugin. Glens cable splice use #4 to #2 and there was way to much resistance. The local battery guy will make it correct. I should have used #1 cable for the rear. Shucks. Got an new antenna whip and I need to tune it due to a lost whip. Also it was time for new fluids. The new gauge package done last fall is working as designed.

Another big race coming up with the BITD, Vegas to Reno race.

I have to get 3 last minute race radio's modified for racing intercom systems. The Kenwood 110watt radio's are alway the most popular and durable radio's. They are all I run anymore, even in my mom's little Chevy Track. I just need to find a good place for the remote head.

I picked up mine forever truck haha. 99 F350 7.3, my buddies dad bought it new passed it to him now it mine. I've spent many race trips, swap meet and you good old teenage debochery shot gun in this thing now it mine. 16 years and 190k young. I plan on going over every inch of it to keep it alive for 20 more years.

1st on the list is the exhaust. It has a turbo back 4" exhaust but with the addition of a full size spare there is no room for the tail pipe that came with it. Ill be dropping it at RPM this week some time to get a front of rear tire exit set up.

I'm debating to keep the muffler or not. It has a turbo and Cat so I'm thinking of ditching it.

Opinions?

The cat will free more up than the muffler but since it's a 99 you have to smog it, depending on address. If it were mine I'd make a race pipe with flanges on both ends to bolt the cat in and out.
