reading up on this just leaves me speechless. I dont think I have ever heard of such a bad incident in offroad racing.....I hope no one on the board was involved. Thankfully resources were avaialble rather quickly for airlift. Apparantly FT Irwin sent 5 or 6 helos out. This makes me very sad.

I watched it all go down in front of me. Worse thing I have ever witnessed. I was on safe side of race course sitting on roof of my bronco 2 cars back.

Kris, I am glad to hear you were not involved. It is a shame that this happened from what I have seen on the vids etc is that this tragedy could have been avoided. It does not lessen the loss though.

Fast-Aid done! Future races need fencing at places like the wall and the rockpile and security I guess.
Realize can't fence the whole desert, but jus' sayin'.
Videos from zoo road got people way too complacent about safety!
Prayers out to all involved.

Trully a tragic incident. My prayers go out to everyone involved or that witnessed it. Fast- aide done. Big thumbs up to Mongo Racing for their big donation.

While I agree with Broncodawg on the fencing we all know the fans will do what they want but having some up before the start of the event may have saved MDR from the liability.

Damn. It's good to hear you weren't in the mess. I've been wondering if anyone I knew was too close to the action. I know you're no dummy, but thanks for being safe.

I didnt go to the race at the last minute. A friend I was going to go with was 50ft away. And if you want to help at future races volunteer. The more people volunteering the safe an event will be for everyone.
