I bought an 11/16" construction reamer and these lug nuts for my American Mojave wheels. They seem to work fine, I've rolled it in and out of the garage several times

I can't remember who made them, it was a Toyota guy in central California. Trifecta? I bought all he had, which is just enough. I wouldn't mind some more.

So does anyone know the exact drill bit size for the 5/8 studs that ORW sells?

Exact? - HA
You get to choose your poison. Drill info:
5/8=.625
16mm=.6299
41/64=.6406
16.5mm=.6496
42/64=21/32=.6562
17mm=.6693
43/64=.6719
44/64=11/16=.6875
45/64=.7031
All the above bits are sold on the web
For sure 16mm is way to tight

Of course if you had them all you could see which ones work best for install/remove without hassle.

I have a couple of wheels drilled with 11/16 and have beat on them a lot with no issues so far. Easy to install & remove. I wish I would have had a smaller drill to ease my worries. 11/16 is pretty sloppy. All my other wheels (and I have many) have a much tighter fit. I wish I could remember the drill bit size? It probably was 42 or 43/64? sorry.

Haven't seen them before. Then again the picture says it is not necessarily the actual item. See no reason why they wouldn't be fine, especially for that price. Unless you had some outrageously long studs, they should work fine. I wonder what the hex size is? I would order some to check them out the next time I have something coming from Summit.

Should have kept reading down the page! They are 7/8" hex and just under 2" long. That should still be long enough for most studs. Not much meat though under the hex. 7/8" hex, 5/8 I.D.

I had SDHQ Serena's old Titan come in for some work with those on it. The ends pop off fairly easily if you have issues with length. Seems to be a good option if you are running a street style lug seat taper.

Philo, does he beat it pretty hard? I'd rather pay for machining that have a wheel fly off but if the consensus is these would be good to go I am happy to save the money

He doesn't, but the owner before him and Serena did. There should be no issue. If the wheel is machined and installed correctly 5/8 is so overkill it's not even funny. Most of the failures racing are due to not being torqued correct, dirt between the hub and wheel surface, or incorrect bevel on the lug nut vs wheel.

I'll be honest, the only reason I want 5/8-18 is because it looks cool and I have a box of TT lug nut take offs. Every TT being a spare parts truck for my rigs is a plus too.

Yes, the hand me downs are the best! My 3.0 kings and National leafs are hand me downs. Nice cherry on top after 30+ hours in the chase truck.

Most of the lug nuts came from walking around Matomi Wash and other places we pit with Yokohama and picking them up out of the sand.
