Looking forward to you racing, but I'm not sure how competitive a 351w would be. 408 or 427 might be better. Also a 32 gal fuel cell is to small and 44 gal min but a larger would be better in Baja. You can go +2" per side upfront to give you a better angle on the joints.

You're hard pressed to do a decent bronco prerunner for 10-20k! Good luck in you're quest!

Understand on the 20K budget and appreciate the comments. I will clarify, I am looking to buy a Class 3 Bronco that is as close to race ready as possible for up to 20K. As an example does anybody know who bought/traded, for $7000, this Class 3 Bronco in Phoenix last month? The owner who sold it does not have record of who he sold it to. I am sorry I missed this, but this seems along the lines of what I am looking for.

Low mileage 351W, C6. Parker Pumper, PRP seats, Fully caged, 9" full floater wildwood discs, 5.16 gears front and rear with detroit locker in rear. 16" travel front and rear with ADS coilovers in front
and Deaver Leaf Springs in rear. 96 style fiberglass fenders and grill. Crow 5 point harnesses. Truck is built to SCORE regulation but not tagged yet. 35 " Toyo Mud Terrains. Dual Parker pumper, quick disconnect steering wheel
good shape. Ready to race.

Those look to be superlift radius arms with drop down brackets. Looking at that, i question how "race ready" It really is...

That bronco ran on propane. He had a more difficult time selling it for that reason and dropped the price a few times.

If it was not tagged, I wonder if there was ever any real race miles on it. Anyone can call their truck a race ready vehicle, but if it would finish a race while running at real race speeds, that is the real test. Look at the Bronco Chris Wilson and Glen Straightiff built. It takes real race miles to truly be competitive and race ready.

Way more, the drive train was almost that much alone. Or close to it.

Now if you want to race and have no intention of being competitive, then running at trail rig speeds, you can get a Bronco and cage it to Score Spec's but at that point you would be over $20k with seats, belts and maybe some 2.0 shocks. It would basically be a full stock and still not as good as a fully race ready full stock.

Sorry to be a wet blanket. I wanted to race my Bronco, but reality is a bitc*. Then the purchase of the Race Bronco will be the cheap part of racing.

Rameen - I think you can find what you're after. The Bronco pictured above would have to be driven gently to finish a race, but it can be done...it just wouldn't be racing. We see similar builds from time to time in the price range you're after, but there's always something major that would have to be changed to make them race worthy. If you're planning to spend 15-20 on the initial purchase and another 10-15 for a budget race prep, then I think you'll have something. Moss brothers win C3 with a 351W that has around 350hp. Reliability is key. No need for super duper parts until the race program justifies it. We'll keep our eyes open and send prospects your direction.

Yikes- Yes, your on the right track. It's a process, and we are in the early and learning stages. Current budget is correct and would allow for additional $5K racing/travel (prerunning) budget for 2015, along with $5K repair upgrades as we learn to drive. What I am probably asking is "What's the best Prerunnner" available for our budget, that could be developed into a competitive race vehicle.

Need to change the title to " WTB Prerunner/Class 3 late model TTB Bronco", prefer Caged, ...

Not to be a bronco downer but why class 3. You can find a dozen nice prerunner a that will be quick to class 2000 and more fun bang for buck. Limited classes aren't necessarily cheaper just more rules. Your gonna have more/same work into a limited class with less performance. My buddies class 7 is gonna get a new front end and be a class 2000 most likely
