My bronco has a 6" lift going for a cheap all around rig.
A lot of unmaintained roads fire roads ect. And also a lot of mud and really deep ruts. Not worried about jumping but it will be taking some big hits from ruts and holes in the unmaintained roads.
Going to be running Doetsch Tech Pre-runner 8000 series shock absorber all around 4 up front 2 in the rear.
I am running pivot drop brackets with super lift 6" coils. Bracks are going to be plated and reinforced. Have extended ra with stock mount (not a drop bracket)
The rear is what I am having issues with or more so I am just ignorant.
It has stock leafs with aal and a 2" block.
I don't want to run a block and am looking for budget options that can still perform well for what I am doing.. I just can't afford 500 bucks for 6" leafs. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Going fast and cheap aren't really I'm the same sentence honestly. If you can weld you can make lots of parts cheaply with lots of time thrown in. More importantly--3" is about a perfect rear end lift height --6" is just wayyy too tall.

I can't remember, but doesn't the superlift brackets have 2 sets of holes to go 6" or 4"? If so, Get some 4" coils, ditch the 2' block, put some bilstein 5100's on and go have fun! The stock leafs really aren't that bad if you aren't pushing it real hard.

Yes i do have 2 sets of holes. The reason i was planning to stay with the 6" is the added clearance to stay out of mud and water though.. There are several places that both already get up to the cab and i want as much room as possible.Nick wrote:I can't remember, but doesn't the superlift brackets have 2 sets of holes to go 6" or 4"? I know it adds some stress on brackets and the cross member but will i really gain that much from going to 4''?
After a little research i may end up doing a shackle flip kit and maybe loose a leaf in my back (With the AAL it is stiff)
If i can find a cheap set of 4" Procomp coils i would consider this but i really am not sure about the loss in clearance for mud. If this was a desert truck i would not care and would for sure see the benefits of it with no down falls...
have been in mud and water crossing so many times in the last month where i don't mind my cab sitting 2" Higher that i cant count it on one hand.
I am not arguing i just want to get both sides out there... I know this is mainly all desert guys and what i do is different and i am by no means looking to go as fast as most here. but i do what to have as good handling and riding bronco as i can (Within my budget) That is also capable of doing the trails and getting me to and around all of the places we go hunting ect.
Last. trying to tell someone going fast and cheap dont go together is kinda ignorant. Not to sound rude but there are people who cant afford to do everything at the same time or want to get as much as they can out of the budget they have. they may not be building the fastest truck.. but they are doing the best they can with the allowed founds simply saying "Dont do it cause you are not loaded in money" Seems unfair.
