Punisher was one of the best things I did to my truck. I had a really expirence trans guy help me build my tranny, he said that a valve body was a waste of time, when he road in my truck he said it was the best shifting he's ever felt out of the performance trans he's built.

The guys is Paul. The go to guy for E4ODs in the lightening world. He has made his way over to our site though.
The valve body was $200 when I bought mine and worth every penny. Paul is also the best with customer service.
You have to order it for the specific year range tranny you have. 94 and earllier, 95 or 96.

PayPal $215.00 shipped to my door. With all of the great reviews Paul and his Punisher have, it seems like this is a no brainer.
Like most folks I've never met Paul personally. Set aside his apparent good demeanor, great communication, follow up and follow through on the phone and email.....I love that he ships this valve body and asks for the core return in good faith.
I'm sure he's missing plenty of returns, but he'll get mine back for sure if for no other reason than I just appreciate his old school tactic.
P.S. - Unfortunately I wasn't around to see or hear it.....apparently the Bronco started and ran with the first turn of the key yesterday. More report soon.

Went to Greg's shop today for a few things and he had a thumb drive taped to the window with the pictures he's been taking. Among them are two I thought some of you may find amusing:
Though I have yet to question him on it, Greg apparently found documentation that says this Bronco was built in Mexicali. When he was cutting apart the firewall to trim it back for clearance to the 37's, they found this buried inside......
As this renovation approached, I did plenty of reading about the factory HVAC deficiencies, especially the defroster ducts. I know Ford issued a TSB back in the day to address a few of the problems, but since we never used the air in our rig before the boys tore it apart we never knew how much it wouldn't have worked. Look what they found behind the brown dash.....
If you ever have cause to take your dash out......be aware!

July 11 - It runs!
Literally at the first hit of the key and the now-96-in-a-92 shell comes to life, purring like a kitten. Greg and Blake finished up the basic wiring and a few final things under the hood. The engine cage is complete and all of the emissions components are in place, save for a bit of vacuum line cleanup Greg had to order some fittings for. The exhaust is mostly routed, and we're considering how best to deal with the tailpipe exit.....again not too many options with my links and skid but there can be no turn down (aka dust maker) and must have proper exit so the tailgate doesn't suck the fumes in.
Greg took his son to orientation at ASU, and Blake is studying a few wiring schematics to troubleshoot a few bugs that remain. They will resume tomorrow July 16 and it appears this Bronco will leave the shop under it's own power on Friday! The custom driveshaft will arrive by then, and Greg will have the temporary fuel filler complete by then. I'll be making a few stops with the Bronco on the way home to work on the accessory wiring:
1) Auto glass shop to receive the 96 glass.
2) General mechanic to install the Punisher & pan with a full ATF evacuation & replacement. They will also hook the OBDII up to diagnotics to make sure there are no codes.
3) A/C shop for refrigerant flush, system startup and adjustment.
We're very, very close - the last stop for this phase will be for the TTB......I'm waiting for Jeremy @ Spirit to send me a quote now.

I think he said he was just rebuilding everything, not replacing.
Whos beams are those? Don't see too many with heims for beam pivot (although I hear it works just fine).

I have to guess the beams are Mexicali customs. They're nothing like most of what I see, but they work very well and most importantly keep coming back after a beating. We hit a huge hidden rock at speed in Cal City this past Spring and I thought we were done for sure. The wheel didn't fall off so I kept it to the wood and checked everything at the margarita stop.
Solid......unless Jeremy tells me otherwise.

Nice, really like the rebuild/refurbish on this. Great looking Bronco! I looked at it a few times before you bought it, just never had the funds to purchase it. Glad to see someone on here that's taking it to the next level and posting pictures of the progress. Greg is a good guy with some good ideas. Keep em coming!

July 18 - Elvis has left the building:
Work is really busy so I'm a bit delinquent on my updates. Greg and Blake wrapped up their work on Thursday, and took the Bronco out for road testing. All seemed in order with a few temporary facilities to make it drivable until I can get to the cab wiring. We've got a tasty new rear driveshaft Greg set up and clearanced at full droop with a hair over 2" of plunge. The front used the OE 96 shaft and got some new joints for good measure. We now have the door chime and entry lights.....the chime has to go but it feels good to get in a rig that looks like this and have the creature comforts inside. In the end, Greg and Blake did a fantastic job with a massive undertaking in a very short amount of time. I'm bummed that progress is going to slow a little in comparison as the next pieces take place.
We left Greg's shop on Friday and drove to my buddy Dave Reeves' general repair shop with no windshield. Only a few miles of surface street thankfully.....I think my hair is still standing straight! Dave left the Bronco in his shop over the weekend to tackle the Punisher and A/C service. The next day I took the 96 roller and shell to the auto glass shop so they could pull the windshield and side glass to put it in Jim & Paige's Bronco. On Monday, Dave's team got our rig on the lift for the E4OD Punisher & pan, followed by a full fluid evacuation and fill. Everything there went flawlessly and then they got under the hood for the A/C, where all of the O-rings were replaced, a new dryer was changed out and the system was cleaned, oiled and charged. This pup blew 41 degrees in the hot afternoon on Wednesday!
Yesterday I moved the Bronco to the glass shop and they switched out the glass, using the OE 96 black trim around the windshield instead of the painted Mexicali mess we had prior. Now we have the Ford Carlite glass to match the rest of the renovation's original pieces! Jim & Paige's Bronco got home last night for a temporary stay, as necessary for me to assess the interior wiring design and schedule with Jeremy at Sprit Racing for the TTB rehab. I'll have Synergy ball joints in my hands in a few days for them to install.
I can taste the Huckfest ribs already!

I'm jealous! For it to work that well in your heat means it's done right! I need to chase an A/C gremlin in the Explorer before our next outing. I'm tired of the think puking the refrigerant at idle on a hot day...
