Heavy Metal Weekend at Pismo Dunes--9/10 to 9/12

Hello Everyone—
We have our annual Pismo Dunes camping trip coming up, and we’d like you and your friends to come out and join us.
Off-Road Magazine will be out there taking pictures and looking for features all weekend, so this is a great way to show off your stuff if you want some coverage.

It’s during the second weekend of September every year, and this year that falls on 9/10 to 9/12 (Friday to Sunday).
When you enter Pismo Dunes (Ocean Dunes), take a left and drive as far (south) as you can. We’ll be the last camp on the beach (or as close to that as possible if it’s already taken).
Camping permits are $10 per night, and day permits are $5 (per vehicle). If you don’t want to camp in the sand with us, there are tons of hotels and RV campgrounds within five minutes of the Dunes.
The last few years camping permits were plentiful and available all weekend. If you are worried about them selling out, feel free to go onto http://www.ohv.parks.ca.gov/?page_id=1207
The weather is usually in the 70s during the day, and a sweatshirt and pants are good enough during the night.

This is just a camping weekend for friends, and this is not anything official, by the way!
Be prepared to provide your own food, beverage, and sleeping arrangements.
We’ll bring enough firewood to stay lit all weekend, so don’t worry about that if your truck is full of camping equipment.

Yeah, it's too bad about the races being that weekend. There's also some sort of Blazer event that weekend and it kills Jerrod to miss it (he's a Blazer guy). Just too much good stuff out there, I suppose. Will look forward to seeing some of you and will raise a beer for those that can't make it.
