Re: RMC's el hefe build.
One thing I need to do is remove the bumps, the 4 inch stroke isn't going to work. I need to ad the spacers to make them 2" stroke. That will give me a bit more uptravel before they engage. This whole move thing has my plans on their ear. I really just need it drivable ASAP. I still have to make that bug a roller too, so it can be put on the trailer for delivery. But even if I don't end up moving the bug has needed to go for a long time.

Looks very nice. So I see your shocks are angled towards the back. I was gonna do the same so I can use a bench seat, but wasnt sure on what length to order. being that the shock now travels with the arc of the spring. What #'s is it pulling in the rear if you dont mind me asking. And what springs are those?

National springs, custom shackles I made and pulling 17"
I'm limited by the shackle angle, it needs to be steeper in the boomerang shape to get more droop. I believe this spring pack may be a little light. Squats pretty low since adding the cage.

Re: RMC's el hefe build.
I was thinking a 18 myself, due to it traveling in almost the same direction as the axle. I'm really digging the rear truss.

Re: RMC's el hefe build.
I could have moved the shocks a bit farther foreward if I went with a little different style on the mount but the ones I did are strong, there 1/4 inch tabs. I'm certain they will never fail or break loose. As for the truss, thanks man. I made it out of 100% scrap so no additional cost in the build. I figure it will help my housing last till 9" money comes around.

Ill try to grab a better pic once it drives agian. that one was me laying on my side up agianst the gate so the perspective of the photo looks uncentered. Makes it look uneven even though its not.

Is that one of those Go Fast Muffler Bearings? I'm still running the old ball bearing style. The grease burns off mine all the time.

Re: RMC's el hefe build.
Haven't had time yet Trevor, been working on some front end parts. That's next on my to do list. Ill need to know your gear ratio, tire size and year bronco as well. The obd1 vs obd2 are different types of sensors and the way the calculate the shift ratio is a different math problem for the computer. Ill use mine as the test guinnea pig. Should be quick n dirty though. I'm also in the market for an additional rotary table for my mill to hold the output flanges with. Bare with me a bit longer if possible.

So Ryan beat stopped by earlier ( short course driver) he said the bronco looked really good so far. so that made me feel warm n fuzzy although I doubt he'd tell me he didn't like it lol maybe ill try to sell it to him when it's done for way too much.

Re: RMC's el hefe build.
A few updates...
Got my rear seat belts finally. PRP had to make them for me. Only took 9 days.
Been building a top secret fixture for the past 7 days, it should turn out good I think. And come Monday it looks like (the wise choice) I'm going to buy the house I've been renting. It's the safest bet considering I can't find what I want for under 650k lol but I have a very ambitious plan of actually paying this place off before I die. Go figure. Better to not stretch too thin and buy better tools sooner rather than later vs becoming a slave to a house I can't afford. Some cool stuff to come in the weeks ahead once house is finalized and I can resume the bronco project. I just have to keep it drivable for the next few weeks incase I need to move it ( doubtful but still a slight possibility I suppose)
