Re: Jose's 94
Tell her you have to pick up your hat. It''s in my Bronco now. If you don't pick it up,, then I have to donate it to Baja.
Re: Jose's 94
Hahaha. Sorry guys. I'm not going to make it. Just got done making brunch
And I don't think I'm going to be able to pull my self away from this view all day
Even though I have a bronco that needs cleaned bad.
Go ahead and donate that hat Brian. Make sure it goes to one of the kids though.
You guys are always welcome here.

Re: Jose's 94
Here's a little update. I got some motivation to pressure wash my carpets. Thanks to Kel.
it came out ok. It's definitely a lot cleaner than it was.
Of course this snowballed like everything else. Nothing is ever simple. Haha
Since I stripped the interior I was going to dynomat it but didn't feel like paying 200+ dollars and driving around trying to find it.
So to the depot I went. And picked up a couple rolls of peel and seal. After reading mixed responses concerning smell etc. I decided to try it myself.
Ok here is where I'm at.
That's 2 rolls. I'm going to pick up probably 4 or 6 more rolls to finish the whole bronco.
So this started out as a simple no cost carpet cleaning to.. This..
Oh on top of it all my pressure washer took a crap. Haha.
Wish me luck tomorrow.

Re: Jose's 94
You took the padding off the back of the carpet before you washed it right? I ordered new padding online. 50 bucks to redo it all with 40oz jute. Did you spray it till it was no longer coming out white soapy looking or brown? I bet you could get rid off those darker spots with a little more spraying.
Notice any smell with the P&S? I had my mind set on the rattle trap stuff for 200 delivered but I may end up doing P&S now that you're doing it. Did you buy the roller too?

Re: Jose's 94
I reused my padding. It came apart all in one piece. And it had a thick piece of cardboard in between the padding and the carpet. It didn't smell or anything so I just glued it back together.Kel Fab Creations wrote:You took the padding off the back of the carpet before you washed it right? About the P&S, the smell is very faint to begin with. After I stuck it there's really no smell. As of right now It seems ok, but all the doors are still open. And it's parked in the garage. I should be done with it tomorrow, so ill park it outside for a few hrs and see if it smells.
I'm going to do the wheel wells, and up the sides. Then the front all the way up to the firewall.

Re: Jose's 94
I have read all the mixed reviews myself. After talking with several people that have actually done it. THe concencus is smellisnt an issue. I took my heat gun and got a peice to the point the tar was completely melted and its started to smell a little but that was with out it sealed to anything. I think I will duct tapt the seams just for the hell of it though.
Re: Jose's 94
The duct tape is a good idea. I just went out and took a sniff. No smell at all. So I'm going to finish it up.
Now I hope it provides some sound deadening!! Haha.

Re: Jose's 94
Ok all done!! Here are my findings.
To start, I did the cab front to back. Up the sides and up to the firewall.
I used a total of 6 rolls. ( 6" x 25' ) rolls.
Home Depot peel and seal. Cheap stuff $16.00 each.
Up to this point no stinky smell!! At all.
The wife thinks it is a lot quieter. I'm not to sure. It IS quieter, but not what I expected. I guess I was waiting for Mercedes type comfort. Ya jokes on me... Haha I wish I could have measured how loud it was before and after. Oh well it's quieter and I can hear my radio and have a regular conversation.
While the interior was apart I cleaned up the carpets and interior pieces. I could have taken 3 or 4 more days cleaning carpets but this was good enough.
The interior looks much better.
I have to finish putting my parts and spare tire back in. So here's a few pis of the finished product.

Nice Bronco Jose.
Question on the seats, Which seats are you running and how comfortable are they for a DD
Question on the seats, Which seats are you running and how comfortable are they for a DD
Re: Jose's 94
All 4 seats are old. I had a friend re upholster them. 2 of them are old beards and 2 of them are old mastercrafts. My seat is a little wider than the other 3, so it's a little more comfortable. I do drive this thing daily and I have no complaints. We have driven 4 or 5 hours and I had no real complaints from the wife or kids.
Hope that helps.

Re: Jose's 94
What's the square thing above it? A terminal block of some kind to divide up for more positive outputs? Hard to make it out in the pic.
Re: Jose's 94
Yes. It's a fuse block. I use it to run all my aux. stuff. Currently it runs my light bar and dust lights. But I have room for additional fused items.
