Spent the weekend pulling the leafs apart and checking over the leafs, finished the brake install finally, and bolted all rear suspension parts. Last is limit strap mounts, transfer case reseal, and brake lines. Also a front bumper but we’ll worry about that later.

Scared the crap out of me coming out of the drivewaySteveG wrote:Ah, the old put the weights in the wrong place trick… tire shops have gotten me a few times with that one!
. Luckily i got 2 bumper jacks so itll get lifted in the garage and ill take them over to a different shop. Luckily i didnt do the rears so rhe wilwoods didnt scratched yet
. Thank you! Brakes are still spongy so j bought a 2 lb residual for the rear. Also the pjnion seal is leaking so ill replace it.Tree trunk wrote:Very coolcongrats on getting it rolling!

. Got the wheels back off. My wife will drop them off to be balanced with the right weights. Added the residual valve and was able to get air out of the rear brakes and they feel alot better. I replaced then pinion seal so hopefully thats fixed. Hoping to pick the kids up from school friday in it tor a maiden voyage. Good morning Steve! I only used one for the rear brakes to keep all 4 pistons close to the rotor. Im running the stock front brakes and 4 piston rears for temp until i can get around to altering the hubs for new calipers. I ended up cutting the hard line about a foot from the point where the hardline meets the softline at the rear end and putting it there. I didnt run a front residual valve. It made a BIG difference from before. It also helps to bleed both sides of the calipers too.SteveG wrote:Good morning! Where did you put the residual valves? I’ve been told those are only for when the master cylinder is below the calipers / wheel cylinders. I’m not judging, BTW, I’ve had plenty of brake challenges as well!!!
