Gracias! I swapped the bump out with the new one. At full bump it hits a bit forward of center but it should be fine. Image

ImageSpent the weekend pulling the leafs apart and checking over the leafs, finished the brake install finally, and bolted all rear suspension parts. Last is limit strap mounts, transfer case reseal, and brake lines. Also a front bumper but we’ll worry about that later.

The back is under its own weight. All that is left is the fuel pump / sender and the brake hard lines.

Skid repainted, tank installed (drained 20 gallons of old gas. Should be fun to get rid of) and cut an access hole for future. Also i replaced the bad sender and some other boring stuff.

Ill seal the cover and screw it down. All the brake lines are done. I swapped to a newer master with a 1.25” bore. Hopefully it works for having discs front and rear. I may have 1 small leak but the rear is good. Its finally getting close.

Thank you Steve! She is! Brakes are wicked spongy so still so working through that but it moves! I need to make a bumper and realign the front end but the only funky noises were the stupid wheel weights they stuck on the inside of the wheel. Now going through all the small stuff.

Fist off, bumper jacks for the win. Ghetto lift for the less fortunate Image. Got the wheels back off. My wife will drop them off to be balanced with the right weights. Added the residual valve and was able to get air out of the rear brakes and they feel alot better. I replaced then pinion seal so hopefully thats fixed. Hoping to pick the kids up from school friday in it tor a maiden voyage.

Good morning! Where did you put the residual valves? I’ve been told those are only for when the master cylinder is below the calipers / wheel cylinders. I’m not judging, BTW, I’ve had plenty of brake challenges as well!!!

Good morning Steve! I only used one for the rear brakes to keep all 4 pistons close to the rotor. Im running the stock front brakes and 4 piston rears for temp until i can get around to altering the hubs for new calipers. I ended up cutting the hard line about a foot from the point where the hardline meets the softline at the rear end and putting it there. I didnt run a front residual valve. It made a BIG difference from before. It also helps to bleed both sides of the calipers too.

So after a few test drives (still battling squishy brakes / finally got all the crap sealed) it drove like a dump truck up front. So yesterday i pulled she shocks apart and found out why. Either someone was trying to valve for a 747 or smuggling .012 and .015 shims in shocks. They were triple and quadruple stacked both compression and rebound. Below is what I took out. Mind you I used valving from this stack already before the picture was taken. Anyway it rides alot better up front now. Image
