Belt sanders and drill press
I'm helping my aunt sell of some of my grandfather's old tools. All of this stuff was light use in a personal shop. My grandfather was a carver & used used the sanders to shape pieces.
This stuff is currently located on Balboa Island in Newport Beach, but I can get it to Huntington to my place if that would help
1st tools is a 6"x48" belt & a 9" disc sander combo on a stand. Has a 3/4 HP motor that is 110v or 220v single phase. Build date 1986. Made by A. J. Tools "Pit Bull" - made in Taiwan. Couldn't find any info on this brand, but I'm assuming it may be similar to harbor freight, although it seems a little better. Quality brand sanders like this are in the $450-500 range. Harbor freights is $220, so I'll ask $150. We may have some spare belts & disks around which you can have with it if we come across them.
2nd is a smaller sander. It's also an A. J. Tools "Pit Bull" - made in Taiwan. It's a 1"x42" belt & a 6" (may be an 8"??) disc sander combo. Has a 1/2 HP motor that is 110v single phase. Build date 1986. There should be extra sanding belts around to go with this one. Jet's version of this looks to be $400 and the Grizzly version is $115 so I'll ask $60 for this one.
Notice the error on disk size? Plate shows a 1x8"belt & 42" disk...
Last is a sweet, OLD, Rockwell Delta "Homecraft" drill press. From my research it sure looks like an 11-120, 11" press. Made in the 40's. I'd love to hang on to this for the history & shear cool factor of it, but my garage is already over stuffed with tools I hardly get to touch anymore... Asking $100 for this

Photos for the drill press.
I check this board regularly, so I'll see replies here, but if calling/texting works better for you feel free. 9four9 three78 3553

Belt sanders and drill press
I really want the bigger sander. Any way it can get a bit closer to San Diego. My truck is blown up and I doubt it will fit in my bronco.

Re: Belt sanders and drill press
I don't get down toward San Diego at all, but maybe someone else on here runs between OC & SD & we can do a parts train. I'll get some dims on it to see how big it is & then also try & look at if the base/stand would come off fairly easily or not.
On a side note, I know there is a router table a grinder and also a shopsmith I will be needing to look at & part with in case anyone is interested.

Re: Belt sanders and drill press
Here's a pic I just got of the grinder. Has a drill bit sharpening attachment on it. Not sure what to ask on this one. Need to look at it a bit.
I'm trying to get the tools here to HB for easier pickup. Will see what I can do on that.

Kind of an all in one shop tool. Pretty cool if you haven't seen one before, but more for wood working than metal

Re: Belt sanders and drill press
A little more on the grinder. It is a delta "homecraft". Looks to be from the 40's, maybe 50's based on the "art deco" body/housing on it. Has a drill grinding attachment on it. Asking $50 from GFB guys. Putting on CL for $75 to start.

Re: Belt sanders and drill press
These tools (and even more) are now in my possession so I have better pics and can answer more questions since I can look at the things.
Smaller sander is an 8" disk and there are a few spare belts

I'd be interested in the smaller sander if the parts train can come down to San Diego

Smaller sander pending = as soon as I can meet up with Will - most likely this weekend. I'll let you know if anything changes there though.

Sounds good. It's still here. I was gone for 10 days and with that & the holiday I haven't really kept the thing actively listed elsewhere
